Yes it would.  This is a thread about a highly drafted DL that for all practical purposes was a 4-3 DL trying to play in a 3-4 system.

I would not be shocked at all if we take a look. Rivera openly said he was the backup draft plan. We wanted to put him at DT.

He's averaged about 5 sacks a season as an OLB.

If he's all the sudden such a hot commodity that no team will be able to pass on, then why didn't NYJ trade him (pre-deadline) instead of just cutting him out right?

Because Delaire wasn't a first round draft pick.  The prudent move would be to get whatever value you could get, before you let another team just scoop him up for free.  One would think at least.

If Bartin is right then it's becuase of his contract. 

I don't want to give the guy 7+ million on a shot in the dark and I don't know if many other teams do either. 

Now if he clears waivers and wants to come home, I'm down.

I remember hearing a trade rumor but the Jets probably wanted too much since he was a 1st rounder. Plus teams around the league probably got wind of it and would rather just wait it out then come to the jets asking price. Wouldnt surprise me if the Rams pick him up. Lmao their line is already stacked, but if you can bring him and Fairley in as rotation guys smh
