Colin Jones gets burned by the one of the best deep threats in the entire NFL and I guess that makes him awful.

Jones had a great game except for 1 play and Dallas doesn't have a Desean Jackson.

Was coming to say this.  It was one play at the beginning of the game.  Didn't even hear about him or Jackson the rest of the day.

I'm not too worried about it. Jones can contain Beasley especially with some lb support. Beasley is an average nfl slot receiver at best. I think this might end up being beneficial for us. I like Bene on Terrance Williams more than Peanut. This experience Collin is getting might pay off in spades come playoff time. Also, it's always a plus to have more speed on the field.

It will be a tough matchup, for sure. Luckily the rest of our D is fast from sideline to sideline. I'm not worried about Colin's straight line speed; he can keep up w Beasley in that regard. But the quick cuts and 5 yard dunk and dunks could cause us fits. Solution: get the offense going, go up by two scores headed into the fourth, and force Romo to throw down field. Easier said than done. But if Beasley's impact is what it can be given the matchup, I feel this is how the game will play out for another Panthers victory.

The Cowboys run much more 3 receiver sets than the Redskins so Jones will be on the field much more this week. It's hard to say how good he really is but he will be tested much more Thursday.

Just reported on the radio. Will update with a link or tweet when they come out.

Colin Jones on Cole Beasley? That could be a problem if Big Money and the boys can't get home.

With Ras I Dowling signing, could Peanut's injury be more long term?

With who signing?  Did I miss something?

I like Peanut, but this could be a blessing in disguise.  Bene's younger legs might be able to keep up with WRs better on the outside.  I saw Peanut should be the slot anyway, let him punch away at short underneath passes.  Seems he'd be more useful there than covering guys wide where his most formidable weapon isn't usable most of the time.

edit: I mean when he comes back, of course

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
