When I watch us play it's easy to see by eye test our offense is at its best when Ginn, Cotch, and Funch are out there. Both Cotchery and Funchess have outperformed Philly statistically as well with many fewer opportunities. When we were down on the road in Seattle Funch and Cotch both made humongous clutch plays to keep our scoring drives alive late in the 4th.  Down in the Super Dome when poo got real late and we had to move the chains, this is the lineup that pulled us through. It seems like every time Funch or Cotch is on the field they make a huge play. So, why does Philly continue to dominate the snap count? Do you think it's possible Ron could be trying to hide Funch so playoff teams don't have much tape on him? Perhaps a secret weapon to help us reach our peak offensively at the perfect time? I don't know about you, but come playoff time I want our offense to be in its most dangerous state at all times. Not just during crunch time.

Funchess' route running has been a thing of beauty.  That slant last week was stellar.  Also the comeback route a week or two earlier.  But he's looking crisp.  He's also catching the ball and is using his body more.  He most definitely has earned it in my opinion.

It could be just vet loyalty, as Ron has shown before unfortunately.   Even though he's not THAT much of a vet, that may still be the case.   When Philly is out there, I hardly see him being involved, but when Funchess/Cotchery come in, they are involved, so I'm not sure what is going on.

Ditto someone about Ealy.  CJ/Allen are not getting it done.   CJ, even though "rusty", is not making a good case for us keeping him around.

I'm not sure the coaching staff here is doing anything wrong or playing the wrong guys at the wrong time. If you look at the results, I'd say we're doing pretty well.

The receiver rotation is looking great to me, right now. This was supposed to be a group of nobodies that wouldn't be able buy a receiving touchdown on the black market if you listened to what they said up until week 8. These "nobodies" sure are winning more games than the Megatrons, Julios, Dezzes and Beckhams.

Maybe our problem is that we don't have a problem. :)

While I agree our best combo would be ginn, funchess, and cotchery I think its just boils down to situational football.  I believe that ginn and brown could alternate more and let funchess work, but at the same time its really is risky to rely on a rookie in the playoffs even if the rookie has looked promising.  They all have their quirks, but lets not forget funchess leads the league in drops, and ginn is in the top 5 too.  Brown gets open and makes the catch when their is one to be made so I wouldnt rule him out completely.

Isn't Philly in more to provide some options for the running game - end arounds, etc?

Seems to me we've used him very successfully in that role in several games last year & this year.  Perhaps having him in a lot of snaps makes it hard for our opponents to know when we're going to use him for a special play?  I'm totally just speculating here.  Not a football expert...

True, we have used him to pick up first downs on the ground here and there. I haven't watched him too closely so I'm having a hard time understanding how he's played virtually the same amount as Ginn, but he's only been targeted 32 times versus Teddy's 75 times. First thing that comes to mind is he's not getting open. I know Cam missed him on a big gainer opportunity this week, but Cam is usually on the money with his deep ball.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
