Its getting to the point that Cam is damn near unstoppable in the redzone. Can't even begin to imagine what happens when Kelvin is back.

We will have a downright filthy offense. And if Gman can keep our defensive backfield intact this offseason, we may be looking to repeat as SB champs. ;)

You are so right. Getting Kelvin back next year....wow. And, Gettleman continuing to do his magic with free agents and the draft. Look out NFL, the Panthers are here to stay.

That Yards Per Game stat right beside it is also important. We're 26th overall in yardage this year. To be the highest scoring team in the league, yet doing it among the least yardage producers says two things: we're very efficient on offense, and, more importantly, our defense and special teams are putting us in great position in each and every game.

It's really something special to have a team playing this complete of a game. Wow, we're lucky to be seeing this and it be our team.

I think the magic is already with this team. Why would anybody want to leave this chemistry. This much fun. I think Jared allen may just come back because he hasn't seen nothing like this before. Signing players may be easier just due to how connected this team is. You always make a exception for family.

Carolina also leads the league in TOP (AZ is only 18 sec/game behind) and combines the 2nd highest rushing yds/game with one of the lowest passing yds/game... the formula is working to perfection.

The way he's throwing, Cam may be nearly unstoppable from anywhere in opponent's territory right now.

One thing I'm curious to dig more deeply into in terms of stats & analysis is looking at all of our TDs this season.  It seems to me that we have a pretty significant number / percentage coming from well outside the Red Zone, due to Cam's deep throws, and Ginn's speed, etc.  I'm curious to see how this year's team compares with other elite teams, and other Panthers' seasons under Cam...

May not get to it until after Christmas, but my impression is that Cam is scarily good not only in the Red Zone, but even from 30 or 40 yards out, and that we have a higher than normal % of non-RZ TDs.   I could be wrong on this.  It's just a sense I have as I look at the drive charts, but not something I've yet studied.

We're did you pull that bullshit out of your ass? We are 10th In offensive yards a game...

Grabbed the stats from SI.com. Found out, after the fact, that I was just reading the total yards passing for the team. My mistake, sorry about that.

The yardage in the passing game is deceiving, we are ranked low in yards but high in passing yards per attempt...

That's fine, and it even further supports the 'efficiency' angle while also still highlighting that the running game is driving the TOP. Don't need to throw passes when the run is effective, and need to throw even fewer when the ones that ARE thrown get chunks of yardage

    • Rags lost again. All is right in the hockey world.
    • He’s responsible for two drafts classes. The first was one of the worst drafts I’ve ever seem. The second one is showing a ton of promise. I’m somewhere between skeptical and hopeful on Morgan.
    • I'm a big fan of Dan. His ability to find productive players deep in the draft will pay off.  I'm going to give him 1.5 draft classes right now, because I do think it's a little unfair to evaluate his first year when he got the job in January, especially when we went into that draft not having a first round pick.  XL and Brooks are still big time TBD players. Both still have incredibly high ceilings, but both have also given us legitimate reasons to have a lot of pause. Trevin Wallace, Chau Smith Wade and Jatavion Sanders have IMO outplayed their draft position early in their careers. That's a great thing. He also got Coker and Demani Richardson as UDFAs that year. Given the situation we were in, I really don't mind the gamble on the high ceiling guys. Still may work out, still may not, but if you made a checklist of ideal situation for an NFL GM to walk into, ours was near the bottom of that list.  Every single 2025 pick is contributing in some way. That typically doesn't happen. I am absolutely blown away by this draft class 6 games in. Even the best GM's miss on occasion, and we can't expect Dan to be 100% on drafts moving forward. Ryan Fitzgerald was an excellent find as well.  Comparing our last two drafts to the previous few is pretty shocking. Can you imagine this season without our Rookies? It would not be good. Additionally, this roster only has 6 players with more than 6 years of experience, and two of those are specialist.  The next step is equally important, and still very much TBD. We have to avoid Cap Chaos.
