Report: Peyton Manning received HGH, other drugs

Many years ago I knew a Qatari man that worked for Al-Jazeera. I asked him the question any American would: "Why does your TV station show brutal violence against Americans, Women, and homosexuals. His answer was simple "We are Al-Jazeera, we show everything". Even violence against Iraqis and Afghans by our armed forces. I wouldn't say I agree with his way of thinking. But in that moment I realized how differently we think from others in the world.

B) Are you serious? Do you know what a theocracy is? Or do you not really understand Islam? Let's keep it simple. Do you really think that Qatar has not adopted Sharia law?

I am not really sure you have a clue about the judicial system in Qatar. First of all, yes there is a Sharia court in Qatar but there also is a "normal" court called Adlia. So there is a form of dualism in the judicial system making Qatar a whole other World than Saudi Arabia and not at all something you can compare.

In fact the Sharia Court these days moster handle family mathers. Everything else is handled by the Adlia Court that being criminal, civil and labor laws.

Calling Qatar a Sharia country is far from the truth.

Now about that Manning dude...

A) Yes, it did. Here's one source. http://ajrarchive.org/Article.asp?id=5077 There are dozens more, if you bother to do the leg work. Al Jazeera is, as you would expect of an Islamic state media, extraordinarily anti-Semetic.

A.) alright, so this probably isn't your fault. It's just a rumor that gets passed around the right wing blogosphere and never really fact checked. Basically what happened is they had a guy call in who just went on a rant out of nowhere. it's not hard to find the actual NYT article it's referencing. It's basically the equivalent of this.

Now of course no one would suggest C-SPAN endorses people shitting in other people's mouths.

B.) You say it just because it sounds scary. Saying someone has Sharia law is the same as saying as the United States has British Common Law; it's a descendant. And in that region, before the Arab expansion, it was Roman law. Then it was just absolved into Islam.

WHY DO YOU THINK YOU WHEN YOU DISCOVER ISLAM IN CIV 4 YOU GET TO ENACT DIVINE RIGHT?!?!?!?

If it's really Sharia law, they sure as poo don't get a damn about open containers, or making non muslim women wear scarves. Source: I've been there, I was drunk the whole time.

Unlike Brady who took a pay cut in order to get better talent around him, payton has always been about "Pay Me", and if there is a question about why he didnt win more rings, when compared to Brady I would say that is a huge contributing factor.

by I hold no animosity for him, and honestly have enjoyed watching his career.

Ps. anyone else notice how bored I am? I usually never bother to get actual responses to topics besides a head nod.

Brady has never taken a pay cut in his life. That's just bullshit reported by the Boston media and parroted by ESPN.

i mean yeah on overthecap he's only making 14 million instead of 18 million (what a guy), but his contract is tied up in performance incentives that don't really become official until after the league year.

additionally, it's now coming out that the Patriots employ a private medical services and supplements company from outside the organization to do "consulting" work that has a pretty hefty price tag. The owner of that firm? Well of course it's Tom Brady. So basically the Patriots have circumvented the salary cap and are paying him extra in plain sight.

And he's married to one of the richest women in the world.

Don't shed a tear for Tom. He's doing alright.

Enlighten yourself. Your response shows you don't care what I say. I grew up watching the Second Gulf War, Osama Bin Laden, and Saddam Hussein. It seemed like every other week there was some imam or supporter of Islamic terror spreading their hate on Al Jazeera. But don't me stop you. Keep believing that Al Jazeera is benign.

I think you should enlighten yourself. Al Jazeera has changed a lot since then. They even have an American arm that is well respected.

He should be banned from the NFL for life and have his MVP awards taken away.

Wow. Banned for what exactly?  This pharmacist didn't even work at the clinic in 2011. It's hard to even take this whole thing seriously. Yet you want to destroy someone's legacy over it?

    • I think they are holding back to see what they have in the young guys, but I think it's a near certainty at some point they will bring someone else in. Right now (assuming we keep 5 CBs which is normal), the top 5 IMO are: 1) Jaycee Horn 2) Mike Jackson 3) Chau Smith-Wade 4) Shemar Bartholomew  5) Akayleb Evans   Obviously Jaycee is the alpha in that room and paid as such. Need him to stay healthy and continue to play at a Pro-Bowl level. Mike Jack did pretty well all things considered last year, and they gave him lower-level starter money. Fair deal for both sides.  Smith-Wade showed some promise as a slot CB. I think low-key he's a lock for the team. Different size and skill set than the other CBs. Shemar Bartholomew was the most sought after waiver claim last preseason. Was 5th CB most and inactive most of last year. Had a few defensive and ST snaps. Nothing of note good or bad but too small a sample size to make any judgment. Akayleb Evans was a 2022 4th Rounder for the Vikings. Has started 19 games (including Week 18 for the Panthers) in his career and played in 43. Was pretty good in 2023 before getting injured and falling down the depth chart last year. There's some other guys on the outside looking in, but until they show more in training camp I dont see anyway they make the 53. And only Jaycee, Mike Jack, and Smith-Wade are locks to make this roster IMO.
    • Was just reading the Ask the Old Guy story on the team's website and was shocked to see that only two 2nd Rounders have signed so far, 30 of them haven't. That isn't normal, the Texans really screwed things up for the rest of the league, no other explanation that I can think of for 30 of the 32 picks to still be unsigned at this point.
    • They need to address CB before season starts. This is not going to cut it.
