The sportsmanship this past Sunday..

This game was going to be a battle. Everyone knew it. This newly minted rivalry was sure to include borderline hits, missed calls, flaring tempers, and over-emotional plays..

Except, it didn't.

Lost among the greater story of the comeback that wasn't, or the blown-game that wasn't, there was a smaller story: The textbook sportsmanship that was.

You see, we've witnessed a lot of boneheaded emotionally fueled mistakes over the past season. Whether it came from our team, came from our opponents, or came from another game altogether (The Bengals / Steelers being a prime example.). Let's make no mistake, the Panthers and the Seahawks are both hard fighting, emotional teams with chips on their shoulders.

The Seahawks wanted to avenge the loss at Century Link earlier in the year, a loss that for all intents and purposes, they blew when it mattered most.

The Panthers came into this game with a large portion of the nation viewing Seattle as the favorite. The Panthers were the product of an easy schedule, and the Seahawks were the team that was going to finally expose them in the place the Panthers have faultered before: The Playoffs.

Yet as this game went on, I started noticing something pretty cool: Panthers players helping Seahawks players up off the ground. Seahawks players giving friendly pats to Panthers players after hard fought plays. No extracurricular activity after plays. Just hard fought football, topped off with good sportsmanship.

If these two teams do blossom into a fierce rivalry in the upcoming years, this will be the template that every other rivalry should base their play on. There was no "Get the fug off my field", there was no "Helmet to helmet targetting."  Just solid football.

These two teams mutually respect each other. It was great to see.

F**k that. Opposing fans can stay the hell at home. They aren't welcome in BoA and should be reminded of that at every possible moment.

Yeah, I talked with several Seahawk fans while walking out and we both bided each other an until next year and many more...  This is a good rivalry.  We could very well be seeing the beginning of the next  "Brady Manning" rivalry developing under our own noses.

      Just going off the draft sims and he's always sitting around 20 lol. First year in a while where we haven't been thinking about the draft already in late October so haven't really looked into the top 15-20 picks yet. Also the qb class is super weak so he probably will sneak up into 10-15

      I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.

      What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
