this doesn't look good: http://screenrant.com/suicide-squad-early-reviews-bad/

i had high hopes for Suicide Squad... i hoped that it would be the movie that would pull DC out of the gutter after that BvS disaster (it wasn't HORRIBLE, but it should have been a LOT better), but early reviews are negative to downright brutal right now

ouch

there are a LOT more reviews at the link at the top

That's a shame. Trailer looked like a lot of fun. Of course, so did the first trailers for BvS.

DC really needed this to be good. If it's not, their movie universe is gonna have even more issues than it already does.

:(

DC is about to put themselves in a corner and be forced to throw a TON of money at Nolan or someone, begging them to save their mess. I'll still see it, but I never liked some of their takes (from appearance admittedly) on the characters. If JL were to end up sucking, cuncel the franchise.

Kinda had a feeling this would suck. I think at this point DC just doesn't know how to handle their properties. They got lucky with Nolan as he is one of the best in film and it was 100% his vision. Idk. I'm hoping Geoff Johns can fix all this mess. The solo batman movie should be good but idk where they go from here. JL needs to seriously be amazing to make up for two flops in a row or no one will go see any more DC movies. Marvel is running laps around them at this point.

Read a review that Leto isn't featured that much. Why does Hollywood not understand that except for a few instances you must have a great antagonist drive a superhero film. (since superheroes rarely get killed off, IronFist's death, comic, still stuns me to this day) GotG/Deadpool are exceptions. In those the antagonists are just filler.

Alpha Flights Guardian dying in issue 12 was a shocker as well. I refuse to believe he was 'teleported' away.

After reading reviews, I'll probably find it entertaining, just like I did BvS and Man of Steel but it'll probably be a film I don't return to often like I do with Guardians, for instance.   Disney just needs to buy DC too and let them do their thing lol.

I wanted it to be a slam dunk, because I don't see a problem with having more great movies like this (Marvel vs DC is dumb) so I'm a bit disappointed, like I was after reading X-Men: Apoc reviews as well.

Next up is Doctor Strange, which I'm sure is going to be amazing.

Yeah, I'm bummed to hear this movie sucks, but I can't say I'm surprised in the least.

They turned the Joker into a fugging Juggalo for Christ's sake.

This movie was probably doomed from the start since the majority of it was finished before WB realized what a disaster Snyder's vision WAS for the DC Multiverse.

This has nothing to do with WB/DC being "dark" or "intellectually challenging". It's about WB/DC rushing into the shared universe trend while forgetting the most important aspect: making good movies with characters the audiences actually care about. That is Marvel's big secret. The characters are likeable and their motivations actually make sense.

I'll just keeping hoping they'll get their poo together sooner rather than later, because it's pretty fugging embarrassing at this point.

Judging from the criticisms, Leto and Ayer did a fine job with The Joker. The issue apparently is that he didn't have enough screen time.

How? The film was probably badass until WB overreacted to the response from BvS. There were reports that WB wanted Ayer to do several reshoots. Well, it proved to be true. WB didn't think there was enough humor in the trailers either. There was a dramatic shift of tone from the Comic Con to the first official trailer.

DC will never shine unless WB actually commits to the properties like Disney did with Marvel.

yeah, apparently Leto said they cut a ton of his scenes from the movie. I guess I'll wait for the Director's Cut to check this out. It made a pretty big difference with BvS

This is from a "positive" review;

"Jared Leto is fuging insufferable in the role, playing The Joker as Scarface with a bad sense of humor. I know that everybody gets their own interpretation of comic book characters, but I think this is the worst version of The Joker yet, a version that so deeply misunderstands the chaotic heart of the character that he’s simply ruined."

    • Try to reduce the amount of soda that you consume on a daily basis. Soda is packed with sugars and carbohydrates, which can cause cause a poor reaction with your skin. Instead of soda, try drinking water or flavored water as an alternative to your meals during the day or night. Try using some kind of mist moisturizer instead of just using plain water. Plain water only hydrates your skin for a short while and will end up drying out your skin. Moisturizing your skin with a mist form of it is a lot easier to apply then a topical cream. Finding the right product for your skin type is a very important factor in making your skin look nice and healthy. If you have dry skin, you would not want to use products that were designed for oily skin. Make sure you research what the products you use are for, and your skin will thank you for it. After you take a shower or a bath or just wash your face, pat dry with a soft towel. Vigorous rubbing will damage the skin. In addition, leaving a little bit of water on your skin will help keep it from drying out and make it easier to apply an after-shower moisturizer.
