They're scared

Over at the Broncos forum they are already talking about strength of schedule being such a factor to this game.

They played most of their games against the weakest divisions. Here's a site that considers not only opponents won-lost records, but average margin of victory and won-lost records of opponents of a team's opponents. It ranks our strength of schedule 13th and Carolina's 31st. All of this may be worth considering when looking at that 17-1 record the Panthers have achieved.

When you look at the link provided that claims were 31st it says were 27th. They really think this team is full of slouches and Von Miller is their savior.

Yup. This and prior Super Bowl experience is going to be our biggest edge going in. Theirs is the QB position and overall athleticism.

lmfao As if we don't have the larger advantage according to this guy. Telling the truth but not recognizing it. Derp.

That said, Seattle and Arizona did implode and basically give them those games.

What. We didn't play these last 2 games?

I see you there Panda. lol

Yeah, I joined after John Fox left. They do good things in the community even with a linebacker that wants to be a DE but doesn't have enough weight on him.

Because of the field conditions! (in the first half)

There is always an excuse.

I know it's been said a bajillion times here, but you just can't get around it: BOTH TEAMS PLAYED ON THE SAME FIELD. What a friggin weak excuse. If you want to play on a field in the condition that you prefer, win enough games for homefield advantage. It's called homefield advantage for a reason. They didn't just make up that term for funsies.

Are Pats fans complaining that the Denver air is too thin for their team? Or are they more reasonable because they have more experience?

Sorry, not trying to derail the thread.

I know. I was being sarcastic. People can justify anything to make themselves feel better

Go ahead and say we had a soft schedule. I guess playoff games don't count in their eyes because the Panthers played a lot better teams than the Broncos in the playoffs and they barely beat both teams.

Everyone agreed the NFC playoff field was much stronger than the AFC field. Many experts predicted Arizona and Seattle to win the Super Bowl. We crushed Arizona and we would have crushed Seattle but the coaching staff decided to get conservative and decided to play the clock and not the Seahawks in the second half with such a large lead. They showed against Arizona they wont make that mistake again. I am sure they will not let up against Denver.

Panthers are balanced running and throwing. Neither the Steelers nor the Patriots had a good running game due to injuries. This helped the Broncos defense attack the QB because they knew they would pass. They will not have this luxury against Panthers. I guess Bronco fans do not realize this part of the equation.

When Cam is playing well, which is the vast majority of time, we have an extremely explosive offense. Our defense is solid and experienced. Denver's offense is led by a QB whose arm has turned into a wet noodle due to his age, and as a result their offense sputters along and often stalls even when things are going well. Their defense is solid and experienced.

It doesn't take a football genius to make a prediction that we're going to beat the poo out of them, and their fans know it. No one really cares about strength of schedule. They've seen our team destroy the top teams in the NFL. They know what is coming. A giant is coming to stomp on their village, and they need a narrative that is going to make them feel better about it. It's still going to hurt.

    • Those euro games seem to have a tendency to be stinkers, like the Thursday night games used to be. Might still be. I don’t ever know what to take away from them.
    • You are? Fitterer kept telling the story about how they were 100% in line. He said they wrote down who they liked before and after the draft prep and they both agreed. Fitterer also talked about how he had his eye on Young during his sophomore year, which makes it even more puzzling that he didn’t trade Burns to make sure he could get Young in the next draft. Reich got a lot of excuses in here about Young because so many people loved the hire, but there was a lot of pre-draft discussions about GM and HC being in agreement. Heck, the point guard analogy came from Thomas Brown in February and Tepper still gets blamed for parroting what the coaches were invariably saying. Tepper has sucked because it’s his team but man does he get a lot of blame for decisions the football people said they made. I guess Rhule was enough of a personality that people focused on him but Frank and Scott got passes and Tepper was an easy target. It allowed the Fitterer and Reich fans to not feel as bad that they were wrong.
    • 2 more years 🤣   Is he going to get bigger in those 2 years?  Is he going to fix his mechanics in 2 years?  His flaws are unfixable.  And I seriously doubt Morgan and Dave want to anchor their jobs to Bryce for 2 more years.  Especially after Sunday.
