Bring pressure around the ends. Cam will have 200 yds and 5 rushing TDs.

Well they beat the Patriots with pressure up the middle, Brady could not step up and he was a statue easy for Miller and Ware to abuse. I am more worried about able to handle that inside pressure but after last week, feel pretty confident. Cam just needs to have a timer in his head and hopefully can step up in the pocket to avoid that outside rush.

I honestly don't know if there is a real scheme to beat the Panthers yet. It is on the players to beat their man first and foremost. I think the Broncos fans are really riding on this Wade Phillips the new genius Def Coordinator thing more than what is really there. If the donkies are able to stifle our offense, I am willing to bet that the defenders won individual matchups more than some brilliant scheme was designed. There is just too much to prepare for against this offense to rely on particular schemes.

I think the best way to beat the Panthers is to ( try ) stop the run and hope Cam has an off day throwing the ball.  As much as I love Newton and think he has made huge strides this year in his accuracy....he almost always has a few off throws.  The best the Bronco's can hope for is an off throw by Newton that may lead to a turn over.  Letting the Panthers run all over you is a sure way to lose this game for the Bronco's.

I still say we rush more than normal this game but i expect some give and take.

I think Cam will have 2 or 3 really long runs based on what Denver is running.  When we pass long and on what down is key.  The run will have to set up the pass in non obvious passing downs to keep the element of surprise.

Should be fun to watch.

Denver's defense is good but Wade is probably focusing on containing Cam. Also, the Pats o-line was not good. It'll be run run run until that defense is worn down. They start quick. I think whatever the offense is lacking against Denver's defense, Carolinas defense will definitely make up for. I'm seeing points on the board from the defense.

Wade Phillips is a very good defensive coordinator, but his defense and his approach to the 3-4 has not really changed since he was in Dallas and has remained the same for most of his coaching career.  He runs a 3-4 with 4-3 concepts in place.  The alignment of the players in his 3-4 resemble a 4-3 and not the traditional 3-4 that most people are use to seeing from guys like LeBou or Capers.  One of the DE's in Phillips scheme does not play the normal 5 technique that is mostly assoicated with the 3-4 but instead plays a 3 technique, like Short plays for us.  The outside LB to that side then plays a 7 technique, like a lot of DE in this league ( Ware in the case of Denver).  The nose plays usually a shade 0 and the other DE plays a 4 or 5 technique depending on the formation.  The other OLB then plays a 9 technique.  Everyone single gaps except for the nose, so it actually plays more like a 4-3, where you have single bubble, instead of a 3-4, where you have a double bubble.  If you use 3-4 offensive concepts against this type of alignment it won't work.  Offensive lines have to use 4-3 concepts against because you have to block it like a 4-3 overstacked defense.

Typically he has not used a lot of A gap blitizes but instead uses more corner pressure and tends to bring more guys off the edges.  None of this is new.  He did this in Dallas and really stared doing alot of this in Buffalo.  Of course, when they are in nickle, which will be more than %50 of the time, none of this is revelant.  But in base defense, this is what Phillip does and has done for years.  Nothing revolutionary it's just that no one else does it anymore.

Carolina has the Swiss Army Knife of Offensive Coordinators.

Take away the blade and Shula will poke you in the eye with the toothpick.

Take away the toothpick and Shula will use a bottle opener on your ass.

Too many combos to account for...  Wade will be pulling out his hair w/ the tweesers by halftime.

A-gap blitzes are more our thing... when we happen to blitz.

McDermott certainly isn't as blitz happy as his mentor was known to be. Plus I think Rivera prefers four man pressure.
