Cam pouting at the podium

Recommended Posts

In spite of the thread and the fairweather fan stuff going on at the moment, Cam did give all his detractors fresh ammunition tonight in the way he walked away from reporters.  Emotional guy or not, you simply can't do that!  I don't care how unfair things are for all of panther nation, you have to man up in this situation.

MVP, 18-2, Off MVP....you can't dab when you win and then walk off the podium when you lose. Be a leader, suck it up, answer the questions and stop acting like that.

Supported you and still will but that was bush league. And anyone who says it wasn't doesn't get it.  Own it.

We had a great season and I'm proud of our team. But you have to suck it up and own it. You can be disappointed and upset with a loss and that's fine. But you need to have some grace and humility as well. That was disappointing.

Greg Olsen, TD, Luke handled it the right way, I just wish the leader of our team and the face of the franchise would have done the same.

Didn't see the presser, just seeing a clip on twitter.  Looks bad.  Sad that this loss, and his poor press conference is going to be what everyone remembers the night after he won MVP.

Cam has had an amazing season.  It so hurts to see it end like this.  Gonna stoke up the hate, I'm afraid.

I understand, but he just gave his haters something to hold on to and I don't feel like hearing it.

They were gonna take something regardless, Cam is ALWAYS gonna be a punching bag if he loses. Doesnt matter how...long as he is not the Winner. This should have been understood a long time ago.

Guess the "fan base" is not happy with just winning games in the regular season or even playoffs...when the grand prize is the Superbowl...call them crazy..

So it's ok for the fanbase to pout and not Cam?

Its just total fair weather for so many not to care when they think we will suck, then ride the wagon to 15-1, dominate the playoffs and then loose,..then it's back to the haterade.

30 other teams didn't make the Super Bowl. We weren't supposed to be there but we were.

There are ducks and Eagles in this world.

I see Shelby panther lurking furiously giving pie to this guy, lol look at the cockroaches scramble.

yeah Tommy True fan, you're the best. Sorry for pointing out that I was surprised our leader looked like the opposite postgame. For all the talk about his maturity, he did go 15-1. When we lost a big one, he reverted back.

You cant control the world, but you can control the way you react to it.

Cam is the man, and I support him no matter what... but OP is right, he did not handle himself well at the podium. I feel bad because the detractors will attack him for it.

Probably nothing though, because I think Can picks up next year just as good as he was this year.

We all learn more from our failures than we do from our successes.

Cam has likely learned more today about himself and the game of football than he has in quite some time.

He will be back next year better than ever.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
