We'll be back in the Super Bowl next year folks

Barring any significant injuries, I don't see any reason why we won't be back next year.  We are a young team and only getting better.  Remember we got here without KB.  We upgrade right tackle, grab another pass rushing D-lineman and we're good as gold.  Our schedule will be tougher so we won't be going 15-1 most likely but I think we'll win the NFC South for our 4th consecutive title and grab either the 1 or 2 seed.  Might as well pin this.

Sounds good to me.  You know this team is gonna wanna feast even more.  Watching the Bronc celebrate is going to make them want it sooooo bad.  If healthy we are the team to beat in the NFC.  PERIOD.  Cam will be better.  Kelvin is back and we definitely learned a lot tonight.  We know what its gonna take to win it next time.  The 2003 team never got the chance to take the experience and learn from it.  This team is so young.  Franchise QB.  Dominant D.  We will get another chance.  Look what Denver did.  2 years ago, they were embarrassed off the field.

Yeah, that's what every superbowl team says only for them to take 7 years to reach another one. Everything fell in place for us this year. We had a really easy regular season schedule which enabled us to pile up wins, NFC South was sh*t yet again, and we had home field advantage throughout the postseason.

honestly wake me when or if they get there.  I just can't invest lIke this again.

What?  That's what part of being a fan is about.  You take the good with the bad, the ups and downs.  You get to feel all these emotions and it's what makes winning that much sweeter.

I have every bit of confidence that we are on the cusp of finally winning the Super Bowl and you can bet the ride to get there will make it that much sweeter my friend.

I appreciate the optimism and am also excited about the future but it's too soon after a tough loss like this.

Around draft time business will pick back up. Got to let people vent and greive first.

Meh I get that.  Truth is I've been following football for a very long time so I'm used to this feeling.  You just have to pick up the pieces and try again next year.  I honestly think we'll be in the discussion for the next 3-5 year's minimum.

Every time a team loses the super bowl the losing team's fans says this and holds onto it like it's real. And yeah, it never really happens.

You were probably one of the ones who said there was no way we would lose tonight until the bitter end. There are so many posters like that and its really funny to sit back and read.

Reality check is that the NFL doesn't just put you back in the super bowl. We'll likely be competitive but there are teams lining up trying to get back there and we were very fortunate to be in this spot tonight. We blew it. We likely won't be in the super bowl next season in fact I think the odds are against it.

    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
