Losing Norman could give the Panthers a 3rd round compensatory pick next year.  What are the chances the Panthers deal next years 3rd to move up in the draft this year knowing another 3rd is likely on the way?

I Was thinking the same thing, I could see us moving up in the second like last yr or trading into the yhird or fourth if someone falls who we like

In the Rams and Eagles tradeups they actually traded conditional compensatory picks from next year. So in theory we could trade a future third and then convey the eventual compensatory pick.

Comp picks can't be traded, let alone comp picks that don't even exist yet...

In general, I agree with this sentiment. But under the right circumstances, I can see using your draft picks. Like we did with Fun Fun. If a guy you like is close, and the cost is reasonable. I can see it.

 

Plus, it is getting more and more difficult for kids to make this team. Using draft picks to get players you want can make sense.

You people really need to catch up on current events. The NFL allowed for the trading of comp picks starting with next year's draft, and teams have twice already used them in trades this year as a potential substitute for their actual draft picks should they materialize. 

But hey, why actually do research when you can look up Batman memes instead?

I agree that it is getting harder to make this roster and could see a trade up for the right pass rusher, offensive tackle or

defensive back.

same way the eagles did.  say they get our 3rd round comp pick if we get one.  if we don't, they get our regular 3rd round pick
