Looks like I offended another one. God forbid anyone talk negative about their Fuhrer they come at you like rabid dogs

Not offended at all. Just wonder why you are seemingly acting like a &#@%^ for a decision that was (a) made by peoiple over your head. (b) made by people over your pay grade. (c) sure has hell have info you dont. (d) its the draft bro.....24 is gone. Get your " let it go" song on hook and live it man. Its not THAT serious

If we had paid Josh, we'd have Josh Norman starting at corner in 2016 and we could have grabbed Darian Thompson and Braxton Miller. Instead, we have no Josh Norman and have to throw multiple draft picks to address the issue. Which would make you feel better about 2016: having Josh Norman starting and having grabbed players like Darian Thompson and Braxton Miller OR having no Josh Norman and having to waste picks on James Bradbury and Daryl Worley?

I replied to the thread, you replied to me looking for an arguement, you ended losing, thus changing the topic

So, replying to a post is now "looking for an argument"? Back at it again looking for negativity lol I get it though, it's right after the draft and the huddle wanna act childish and emotional. Continue on.

How do you know he wasn't gonna sign his tender by next week?

I'm not the one on here stating my opinion as fact.  I have no knowledge of exactly how the negotiations were going so it would be idiotic to speculate one way or the other.  The only facts we know are that Dave decided that it was in the teams best interest to move on and not drag this out any further.  End of story.

I'm not taking it serious I replied to the thread called it a idiotic move, knob slobbers like you took offense to it. Came guns blazing ready to defend blindly.

Hurney had everything you just listed, more power, more money, more info ext.... I guess it was wrong to question him also

Eh you're singling out one play by a mid season couch pickup. Don't think this really changes anything the linebackers will do too much.

Im not trying to downplay Josh. Losing him is a deal, but it's not as earth shattering as some people claim.

It was just an example of what could happen if the Rookies have a harder time acclamating to the Pros, half of our DBs will be rookies starting. But the good news is the beefed up DL will allow the LBs to roam free even more.

This is a myth created by Carolina Huddle over the past two weeks.

This is my favorite thing I've ever read ever,

Anyway, I said dropping off a bit, not are completely irrelevant. This is factual. There are craftier DBs that can play well into their 30s, Brent Grimes and Deangelo Hall come to mind, but they're not elite or even as good as they were a few years back. I'm not saying "Ewwww a 30 year old CB" but I'm saying that you don't pay 30 year old CBs 50 mil. Look at Revis now, sure he's still a top shelf CB but he's no longer an elite, shut down corner, being burned quite a few times this year (And last year).

And once again, Yes, they are the same age, but Richard Sherman got his 4 year contract two years ago (and 18 million cheaper, btw) and he'll be 30 when it expires. Josh will be 34 when his expires.

and my god are people still trying to damage control josh's bush league agent negotiating in bad faith

yeah you know what you're right.  dave gettleman should have left little sticky notes on the guy's desk reminding him to be really really sure he's keeping his client up to speed on what's going on.  he should have also gone over the guy's head and contacted josh directly just to be super duper sure.  so in a way it is all dave gettleidiot's fault just like everything bad that's happened since he got here.  for the record though anything good that's happened since 2013 was because of marty hurney.

i think that pretty well covers things.

Everyone knows we should of payed Norman at least for this upcoming season.

People are just back tracking cause they blindly agree with every DG move.

Yes, we should've paid Norman for the upcoming season.

But we didn't.

Oh well.

Looking at recent NFL history. Quickly find me the last player that sat out games who has never had a million dollar contract.

Heres a hint

You can't

I would have loved for the tag to have stuck too. But lets be real. In the scenario above, we would have paid the man something like 13 million for a single year...at a position the majority of people here believe is not worth even that on a tag considering the front 7. If our 7 is that strong for people being somewhat " ok" with losing him, then the same should hold for paying him the tag price. In short, if you believe in the front...losing 24 is sad in a personal sense, but not a serious one.

But I have said it before and I will say it again. Dude is wacky man. Some might call it "personality" but to people that are not all up in his crotch because he plays for out team, what we call "personality" is borderline half crazy and issues. Watch for it.
