Local LB just wants his chance with the Panthers (LINK)

It is what it is.  He was rated the 18th best Inside Linebacker in the draft by virtually every scouting agency.  The guy can play, has good size & speed, and was just one of those guys who was always around the ball.  He's a local kid, too... couldn't hurt to give him a shot as camp fodder...

yet he went undrafted, wasn't signed by any team as an udfa, and hasn't been invited to any camps.

Probably wouldn't hurt to have an extra body during rookie camp, but he is a 230 lbs, slow LB. If he called up wanting a tryout and I was in charge I'd say, "Sure, show up next weekend," but he's not even making the 90 man roster especially here. He's better off putting his efforts towards a team a little more needy in LB department.

    • just read the thread. I would like to say that the team not being sold to Tepper is an absolute banger of an answer and probably the right one

Initial gut reaction when I first thought of this question is Kasay kicks it in bounds on the kickoff, but unfortunately I still think New England wins that game even with that My second instinct was pulling Bene out before he breaks his leg in the playoffs. My crackpot theory is if he never gets hurt we win the superbowl. I refuse to go back and watch the game but at some point Peyton throw an absolute duck that should have been pick 6'd. but because we were on our like fifth outside corner he was slow to the ball. this would have completely flipped that game because I'm pretty sure Denver scored that drive and the next one was the Cam sack fumble
