I'm sure Cam, or any of the Panthers players, think and feel the same way about Denver.

One big difference is that all year they and their fans said they wanted revenge (WITH Palmer) because as many quickly forget we knocked them out in January 2015 as well.

Not to mention the mere degree/magnitude of the ass kicking itself.

This is something that all athletes say.  Maybe they will come out and beat us down in the regular season.  See'em in the playoffs.

But I think the Super Bowl loss is going to motivate the heck out of the Panthers.  They are going to come out hot and ready to prove a point.  AZ is going to have to figure out how to protect Palmer when we are coming in hot from the middle of their line, and we might have some pass rush surprises this year too.

Jake had come back from Tommy John surgery in 2007 and started strong, but his arm strength definitely faded as the year went on. Aside from the 2008 meltdown, Jake was always up to the challenge in big games... Palmer, not so much.

I had forgotten about this until I looked it up. Palmer also had some ligament damage to his throwing elbow in 2008. He let it heal rather than have the Tommy John surgery. Pure speculation but I wonder whether that's starting to creep up on him again.

This not really about anything creeping up on Palmer.  He did what he has done his ENTIRE career.  He choked in the big game when the pressure was on.....dude can't hack the heat of the playoffs.  And, he never has been able to.

The thing is that he hasn't even been able to reach the playoffs that often. First time, his knee gets destroyed on the first play. Got one iffy performance in 2009 and doesn't get back again until last season. Generally, he hasn't been that great of a QB during his career, period. I always figured that first injury derailed him and has never fully recovered. Unfortunately for Cardinals fans, whatever the root cause, I doubt it's correctable.

I will try and be diplomatic, just because you have played, like a bazillion seasons, doesn't make you a great QB. It just means you don't suck. So there you go, Carson Palmer played until he was 40, but he didn't suck.is what they'll say.
