I just realized something. Cam Newton has been huge for a while

I was looking up Panther highlights and stuff because, well, I'm so hyped for next season, and I came across this gem:

This kid looks like a freaking freight train his junior year. Like if you mashed up the Hulk and Superman together.

I don't think I've ever seen a highschool QB look this intimidating. Like how do these kids play without cowering in fear? Cam Newton looks like a bulldozer ready to flatten a chicken. And this is in highschool folks!

I'm so glad we have this monster as our QB.

Anyways, I need to sober down a bit. Just take what you will out of this.

When I said repeatedly he has the greatest resume and skill set of a (now) 27 year old in the history of team sports, this was certainly part of it.

Considering we're looking at the resume of players in team sports I can't agree with this until we win some championships, or at least just one.

At age 27, again, resume AND "skill set".  High School, 3 national championships in 3 years in college, the greatest single season in CFB history, and greatest first five years in NFL history playing THE premium position in sports.

Remember it took MJ 7 years to get #1.

Still don't agree. High school, and college are irrelevant. Not the highest level. And I can't agree with greatest first five years in the NFL history. MJ has absolutely nothing to do with this discussion.

Who has a better resume and skill set in NFL history (first five years) and why?  It's not even remotely close.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
