Butler looks insanely explosive and agile.

So, I just got a chance to watch the short video Bill Voth posted from yesterday.  WOW.  Just incredible how fast Butler moves.  I mean that is scary.   To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if seeing Butler has influenced KK in wanting to push hard now for a contract, because, the more time he gives DG and our coaches the chance to see Butler, the more worried he's going to have to be about Butler threatening his job!

The combination of KK & Butler together on our line in a NASCAR package.... that has got to be a truly terrifying prospect to Olines and opposing QBs everywhere.

I've now watched Ron's post-practice comments from yesterday:

I laughed out loud when Ron was asked, given his recent TV appearance, and Cam's series on NIck, "who's a better actor, him or Cam?"  Too funny.   For the record, Ron thinks he's better than Cam...

Ah the offseason...!

Totally. It's a marvel to see such a large human move so incredibly fast.  In that clip he looks like a legit freak of nature that was built in a laboratory.  He and KK together would be monstrous and honestly gives me chills just thinking about it.

That's also a great point about Butler pushing KK.  What he's seeing is a younger and (at this point) hungrier version of himself.  I hope it puts a fire under both of their asses.

Are the Mandatory OTAs open to the media? And thanks yet again for another great write up.

Yes, I will be there all three days. It is a mini camp for me to, trying new things for the real camp in July.

    • in starts, he has played better, been more efficient and outproduced Bryce by virtually every statistical metric that exists in 2025.  And has the 2 head to heads over Carolina.  I mean, your jaw should hit the floor.  But not for the reason you are implying.  That freaking stings.  Denying these realities isn't going to help the Panthers build a better team going forward.
    • He is basically having a polar opposite rookie season than Bryce. 4-3 as a starter on a very bad team.  68% for 237 passing yards and 19 rush per game. 9 TDs,  6 TOs in his starts.  and folks acknowledge the surprisingly play because no one thought poo of the random 2nd rounder and he is player better as a rookie thus far than so many prized picks did as a rookies (not just Bryce but a boatload of dudes).   It's only a sour issue to give someone props because he is a Saint and of course the Bryce thing.  It's like giving the TE in Clev props for having near identical production as the chosen one Tyler Warren.  Fannin is having a great rookie season in a very bad spot.
    • This is a very weird take. The reason Shough doesn't deserve it is because he's only started 7 games. He's doing crazy well for a rookie and out playing plenty of vets with a worse roster. He's waaay above league average in a number of categories during his starts and he passes the eye test in game by making plays. Meanwhile Bryce Young had one of the worst rookie seasons of all time. Still TMac deserves it more. It's only been 7 games for Shough so he doesn't deserve any awards. Even if he gets to 9 he doesn't.
