Saints are making a push that's super strong to sign Boldin

Big men allow you to compete.  Their biggest man at WR is Brandon Cook, so if they want to compete with KB13, Julio, and Mike Evans, they need some height.  At least it'll be easier for Boldin to see how bad the Saints are losing on the scoreboard than Brees and Cooks.

Actually, they expect for Michael Thomas and Brandon Coleman to make  marked contributions this season as well. They are pretty big.

"he loves ex-#49ers, now NO's, WR coach John Morton"

Does his wife know this?

Willie Snead, who had almost 1000 yds. last season, is also a little bigger. And it's Brandin Cooks.

They have 2 other receivers 6'5 + and 3 others at 6'3. Boldin would be one of their shorter receivers.

I am a little surprised that he would sign there though, because I thought that he would want another look at a ring. He's got to be thinking that he'd have to deal with us at least a couple of times this year, which would lower his chances.

Of course he might be licking his chops at the thought of going against such noobs in the secondary. Already having a ring, he can afford to roll the dice.

    • We don't have to tear down Dak to appreciate what Bryce did yesterday. Dak had 0 running game. If the cowboys were better, he'd be a legit MVP candidate if he keeps playing this way.  They did it with Ceedee last year, but they do a better job of anybody we play consistently of getting their best receiver off Jaycee.  Bryce was good too. If we just catch the ball that was intercepted, we probably win by 7+, and Bryce goes over 200 yards passing.  Biggest shift the last few weeks has been play calling. I thought Canales abandoned the run game way to early at times last year. This year he really seems to be sticking with it.  I still think Chuba is better at making 4 yards when there's nothing there, but Rico is better at making 30 yards when there's 6 there. I like the direction. Hopefully we can get Moton, Sanders and Coker back and really be dangerous. Our play action game is pretty deadly right now.  Unrelated: My favorite quality about Bryce right now is his ability to see the defensive hold and throw the ball there. He EXPOSES the officials when they don't call it. That one on Tetaroia yesterday late in the game was a bad miss on their part.
    • That sacks allowed number lookin juicy!
    • This is a game the Panthers should win... just the sort of game they lose. The Panthers have a bad habit that goes back years of playing down to the competition's level only to mess around and lose the game. The Jets game should be taken very seriously! But I want to enjoy the fact that they beat the Cowboys for at least another day or so!
