#Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell is facing a 4-game suspension for violating @NFL policy on substance of abuse, as @DanGrazianoESPN said.

Steelers will have two starters suspended for the first four games of the season.

Again, this is why you don't put yourself in the position of having to rely on unreliable people.

True but there is a  FEW cases where it works out. Von Miller was one test away from missing a year I believe and the honey badger has been clean since entering the league and is one of the top 3 safeties in the game.

One of the toughest jobs for an NFL front office guy is learning to distinguish between someone who did something stupid and someone who is stupid.

Being wrong on that front can cost you.

Being reported that the Cowboys don't believe Ezekiel Elliot abused his ex-girlfriend.

On a related note, the Cowboys also believe Michael Irvin never used cocaine.

Granted, it could be true, but the word of the Cowboys doesn't really count for much on these matters.

On the bright side they have this amazing RB named DeAngelo Williams to take his place for the time being...

If this person lied to try and ruin his career then she deserves legal punishment

Legal punishment could mean a commuted sentence or probation.  EE stands to lose millions in endorsement deals and future contracts.  She yells abuse and its gone? No she should stand to lose just as much by falsely claiming abuse as EE stands to lose by actually committing the act itself.

Oh I absolutely agree, on one hand you take risks that don't pan out, you'll get fired and on the other if they do you look like a genius. So I completely understand the individuals who avoid those guys all together talented or not. Because in more cases then not they revert back to the things that lowered their draft stock or gave you pause to begin with. But it is good to see the guys who take control and overcome their vices.

We've had people on this board who pushed heavily for us to acquire Josh Gordon, Justin Blackmon and even Titus Young.

So apparently from what i have seen supposedly Elliott has text messages with her saying she was gonna do something to get back at him for breaking up with her and this was it and anybody who kept up with the details Hardys case knows this sound strikingly familiar but oh well.

    • Rags lost again. All is right in the hockey world.
    • He’s responsible for two drafts classes. The first was one of the worst drafts I’ve ever seem. The second one is showing a ton of promise. I’m somewhere between skeptical and hopeful on Morgan.
    • I'm a big fan of Dan. His ability to find productive players deep in the draft will pay off.  I'm going to give him 1.5 draft classes right now, because I do think it's a little unfair to evaluate his first year when he got the job in January, especially when we went into that draft not having a first round pick.  XL and Brooks are still big time TBD players. Both still have incredibly high ceilings, but both have also given us legitimate reasons to have a lot of pause. Trevin Wallace, Chau Smith Wade and Jatavion Sanders have IMO outplayed their draft position early in their careers. That's a great thing. He also got Coker and Demani Richardson as UDFAs that year. Given the situation we were in, I really don't mind the gamble on the high ceiling guys. Still may work out, still may not, but if you made a checklist of ideal situation for an NFL GM to walk into, ours was near the bottom of that list.  Every single 2025 pick is contributing in some way. That typically doesn't happen. I am absolutely blown away by this draft class 6 games in. Even the best GM's miss on occasion, and we can't expect Dan to be 100% on drafts moving forward. Ryan Fitzgerald was an excellent find as well.  Comparing our last two drafts to the previous few is pretty shocking. Can you imagine this season without our Rookies? It would not be good. Additionally, this roster only has 6 players with more than 6 years of experience, and two of those are specialist.  The next step is equally important, and still very much TBD. We have to avoid Cap Chaos.
