Sling TV anyone?

Just looking at some cable alternatives and found sling TV. Biggest pull here is AMC as my wife and I s a walking dead junkie.  Anyone have experience with this?  My cable bill is outrageous and looking for corners to cut.

any and all suggestions would be welcome.

I like it. I don't subscribe full time but I got one for the NBA finals. Had it one month, it did what I needed it to do. I don't watch enough tv to justify having it all the time but I'm planning to renew for football season.

I started using Sling TV prior to the start of last football season when we cut cable.

I was paying a HUGE cable TV bill to only watch the Panthers, ESPN, Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.  Sling TV takes care of ESPN and AMC.  I get my ABC, CBS, FOX Panther football for free.  I use HBO now and just pay for the couple months GOT is on.

Never had any issues with the quality of feed coming in.

I hear good things from those who have it. But if you're a TV junkie, it's not right for you. It will limit you. If all you care about is a handful of things though, it's great.

I do Sling TV, Amazon Prime (had before we cut the cord), Netflix (had before we cut the cord) and HBO now (only during GOT months and binge the app during those months)

I used the free trial for a week to watch the NBA playoffs on TNT while I was waiting on a part to fix my PC. It took probably 1 minute to set it up and I was watching Thunder-Warriors on my Xbox. I dabbled looking at other channels a little bit while I had it, and the quality is really good, plus it has all the channels necessary to watch all the NBA and NFL games that aren't over the air. If I had to get one of these services it would definitely be sling.

It's not bad. Can buffer a bit but meets the need.

I heard Playstation vue is going to have nfl network and red zone so just a heads up.

I saw on my sling app 2 weeks ago that they had a local channel beta going on. But I left for vacation soon after and Ive heard nor seen anything of it since. I like sling tv. Does exactly what i need it to for me.

It's OK, I got a free roku for signing up for 3 months. Check out ustvnow as well,you might like that too.

I've been using Sling TV for about a year, mostly got it for football and NCAA basketball on ESPN.  I used to run it off of a laptop, plugged in via HDMI, but it now has a native app for AppleTV, roku, etc.  That is very convenient, but their infrastructure needs an upgrade.  Last year I never had any streaming problems.  Recently, though, I have a lot of buffering or dropping issues.  I'm still a fan, and suspect they will clean that up soon enough.

The main advantage is History Channel, other than that you get a whole lot more with playstation vue.

I have it. It works well on iPad or computer. My problem is that I use an Xbox one for streaming everything to my tv and the slingtv Xbox app is insanely buggy. Got me looking at Apple tv
