ill be pretty shocked if this happens. Only because our passing game looks to be poised for a massive breakout from other receivers. Greg was our #1 last year, this year is much, much different. But who knows? I know Greg will always be a big part of our passing attack because he's a beast.

i mean i love greg and everything but he's not gronk, who is probably the best ever. only way he finishes with better numbers than gronk is if jimmy g is that bad in those four games. even so, gronk is still a top tier blocker and olsen is just admirable.

I wouldn't put it past #88 to have a Gronk-tastic year (1200+ yards, 10+ TDs), but I agree with the other prior posters about our passing game.  With the return of Benjamin and Funchess coming along really well, there are only so many balls to be passed around each game.

What a terrible problem for Cam and us to have.... =)

I disagree that the opportunity won't be there. Last season our opponent's number 1 priority (other than stopping cam) was probably stopping Greg. This year there's no way teams are going to be able to consistently double down on him with a linebacker and safety. If they do, they will be getting gashed all day long. I can see Greg averaging around 70-80 yards a game and approaching 10 TDs with ease. 

The only thing that's going to inhibit him is Ron/Shula insisting on playing a slow paced, ball control game every week even though we have the ability to drop 40 bombs.

all those who think olsen's numbers are going to drop significantly because of the return of kb, potential breakout of other receivers, etc., need to re think their position. Olsen is a fugging beast, arguably still the best receiving player on our team, and because of the two reasons stated above teams won't focus their game plan on him as much, because they got KB, funch, and even Ginn to worry about. Olsen gon' get his own.

      I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.

      From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"

      Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
