Panthers vs Broncos: Predict the Score/Outcome

So how do you see Thursday's opener playing out?

I see the score 27-13 Panthers.

First off JStew and CAP have a good game mixing in Stew's power running and a couple nice draws by CAP. Both are effective in the check down out of the backfield when Cam surveys the field but needs a relief valve.

Cam is not going to run much but will feed our physically dominating wideouts in KBJ and Funch for 180  yards combined. Not a big night for our Tight Ends as they will figure primarily in the running game and pass protection.

The Defense. The Defense will make Siemian's debut in the NFL miserable. McDermott will be dialing up the pressure from directions that will make the 2nd year QB's head spin. Prediction, one of our new DBs records a sack.

Finally on Special Teams, our new punter booms punts when required for a plus 50 average in the Mile High air that will make Huddlers bow to Nipple Short's wisdom as he continues plugging in the final pieces to the Panther's return to the biggest game in Sports.

Bottom line. out with the Broncos, in with the Carolina Dynasty.

    • Yup. Hopefully  Brandon adds some muscle this off-season but he'll probably be resting his shoulder for a while so I doubt it. Miles should probably be replaced but I don't think we find a better 4th option to be honest. So is it better to add depth along side williams and Coby or try to upgrade the 4/5 . I think adding depth will probably be more beneficial than trying to upgrade starters and bank on Brandon and Kons continuing development. I really don't think they are going to make the playoffs unfortunately. I think the big hole they put themselves in has exhausted them. They've been amazing since January 1 but I think it's come at a cost and their legs are gone.
    • The issue is the predictability of it all in a Bryce Young led offense. In 4th down attempts the Jets were at 41 and we were at 40. And we were 4th in conversation %. We were 25th in the league in 3rd down conversion because we faced so many 3rd and longs in part due to playcalling on 1st and 2nd down but more largely due to the limitations that cannot be overcome.  And people want us to spend another 1st rounder on WR as if it is going to magically give Bryce physical talent he will never possess. It's a shame we cut off our own nose just to put ourselves in this frustrating predicament.
