I had season tickets growing up. I saw us play a home game against the 49ers at Clemson. I moved to Colorado in 2008 after graduating from UNCW, but I think I've missed watching less than a half-dozen games in all those years.

Win or lose tomorrow (we're going to win btw), I'm just so stoked to see my team play live and in person for the first time since 2007. KEEP POUNDING!!!!

Last season was a magical ride that we should all cherish but it is time to forge new memories, to begin from the starting point once again. Tomorrow, we face the long climb that awaits us. Few believed we could reach the top but we proved them that we had what it took to reach for the pinnacle of success, the dreams and desires of the faithful that kept pounding along the way. So close and yet, we tumbled and fell all the way down, our bodies and hearts battered and bruised in defeat. Having it happen twice does not make it hurt any less.

Still, we have survived that fall and we're ready to try again. It may be much harder now, with our opponents now taking us more seriously. We have greater expectations, maybe the most this franchise has ever seen. We face the greatest challenge we have ever faced, to prove what happened last year was not an abberation but a sign of things to come, that there is a reason to believe.

I'm not one that buys into destiny. If we want to reach the top, we must keep pounding towards that goal, no matter the struggles and setbacks we may face. That is what it takes to be a champion, to persevere against the odds, to never lose sight of the prize and why we do this in the first place. For Jerry, for Sam, for players past and present, for everyone that works for this organization and the fans of the Carolina Panthers.

From the magic of the 2015 season, to the abrupt ending of one of the best seasons in NFL history. From the hot, jeering days of training camp, to the fight in preseason, the Panthers have prevailed. 

From the grumps and doubters of last year, who all predicted the Panthers be dead last with their "disastrous" WR situation, to becoming a position of strength, I expect the same could be said for our secondary situation this year. This is our time. The moment #51 Sam Mills gave his famous speech, to the promise TD made to Richardson, this Super Bowl would have the best story-line and impact in the NFL. 

With a high octane offense with the best run game and scoring threat in the league, to our rock solid Defense with the best front seven in the NFL, there's just no logical way we shouldn't be able to go long. I believe this is our year. This is our time. We're not gonna let any donkey, seachicken, failcon, aint, or cheaters get in our way. We'll plow our way to the superbowl, keep on pounding, and leave a legacy that will be remembered for years to come.
