Has Talib's personality taken over the Denver D?

We all know Talib is a cheap shot artist, but I wonder if he has taken over the Defense in a bad way. We all know Talib has a bad taste in his mouth for the Carolina Panthers,

Since the Broncos were reported shopping him, I wonder if Elway sees his defense going down the wrong path with Talib on the team and not doing things the right way like Von Miller.

All the ones making the helmet to helmet plays were Talib's "boys"

The real question: How many of you wish we had Smitty and Hardy back on the team for last nights game? We cut the guys who play with a chip on their shoulder and it has impacted the edge the whole team has played with in the past. Josh Norman was the last guy to have that chippiness to him. Until someone gets fired up on defense the way the Broncos are able to, I will reserve judgment as to if it is wrong of the Broncos to play like they have something to prove.

Note: My post is exempting the plays involving dirty hits. On clean plays, they play with an edge and you can't ignore the fact it helps them immensely.

They have. I don't remember Von or even Ware playing this way. They will continue to play that way until the league starts fining and suspending. I really don't see it changing until Elway is tired of it and starts getting guys out of there. But their style of play takes away from all that they do great. I will say, that o-line and even WRs are gonna have to start playing with a little chip. I saw Ward get up in Cam's face last night and Cam came right back at him. We know Cam will go for his, but they need that same chip.

Miller and Ware didn't do anything dirty last night.

I think coach Kubiak is reflected well in their defensive intentions. Talib just fits the scheme.

Valid, but Talib was signed a year before Kubiak.

The penchant for dirty play actually goes higher than the head coach.

Elway was part of some teams that played dirty too.

Copying my reply to yet another thread along these lines:

And other teams will take note and do the same thing.

Look, the Carolina Panthers, with their NFL shield at midfield rather than a team logo; with their long-standing, but enough is e-fugging-nough gratitude and benevolence to the league; with their goody-two-shoes approach and team culture as established by their owner, is a milquetoast, pushover football team.

They do not have a nasty streak and the first inkling that a player on the team can be a game-influencing bad-ass, that player will be gone in short order.

They do not have a coach who will hammer the officials for not doing their job. They have a coach who stand by and stoically witness his QB getting the poo knocked out of him, watch other players get called for BS penalties... and Greg Olsen has to go argue his own case to the refs... thanks for having my back, coach.

So, while the adults on the street will play, "My kid can beat up your kid," the Carolina Panthers can either stand up and learn how to fight or continue to be a punching bag. And being a punching bag following a 15-1 season when everyone is already coming for you doesn't sound like a very good idea.

Did the whole team play dirty before Kubiak?  Was it when Elway came on board that they started?  I don't recall our teams playing very dirty under Fox, so I'm sure he wasn't part of it.

Yep.

Before the Patriots and the Saints, the entire chop block rule was the result of the Denver Broncos defensive line play during their Super Bowl years.

    • When Twitter first changed to X I was able to get it to embed with various tricks. When those stopped working, I stopped trying and don't really blame anyone now for posting links and not embedding.  I'm not going to download a new browser just to be able to embed on this forum.  Hopefully Igo was serious when he said he was going to fix it.
    • The Carolina Reaper story, we will get a night game early but probably away to New Orleans or Tampa
    • 100% fact. people forget Stern was a NYer.  Theres been what 10 picks since that were gifted to teams? Even Lecommie said he believe the lotto was rigged when the Cavs just happened to get the #1 pick for the local hero. They also got the #1 Kyrie Evring when Lecommie leftd for miami. I bet that's when he started the Diddy parties too... Zion Timmy Duncan  AD Rose to bulls Victor Wembanyama Cleveland got 2 more #1 overall AFTER Erving fixing the lebron BS.  Yao Ming got to pick his sity... That's all that I remember, even one is total joke, https://www.si.com/nba/bill-simmons-accurately-predicted-mavericks-would-win-nba-lottery-back-in-march   Just more or less WWE, but at least WWE refs are not criminals. Players bet and shaved points, Im 100% sure of, especially if Michael Jordan did for years.... I am shocked I lasted until Larry brown with the bobcats before I quit being a fan. Any NBA new I see is not by my will/want to follow.  Total joke, I hate the government more than NBA, but they should expose the fraud that league is so it can dissolves and a new better league can start. Maybe then the players will play in all the games like years ago......I mean LOLLOLOLOL you can not play back-2-back games when a breath of air is a fool?? Total joke, I hope the whole league folds. frauds!! I can not respect any owner that allows this.
