he had a non-contact knee injury against the saints that looked really scary when it happened.  it was a sprain apparently.

Smith was the only player worth his pay on the field in that game for the Panthers. They told Smith he can not play in the league anymore after that game? Then they keep Chris Scott around for years. What fools. The team could have  been so much better with Smith on the team.

Not as long as Gettleman is the GM.

I would not be shocked to see Steve Smith, Julius Peppers, or DeAngelo Williams win their SB ring this year. A Panthers player gets their SB ring every year. All they need to do is leave the Panthers, get picked up quickly in free agency by a contender and contribute to a SB champion.
