I'm struggling to maintain my hatred for the Patriots...

excellent coaching....; and fairly easy schedules... lol... however they always show up against above teams... with that said, I still don't them! I hate Denver more because it's not great coaching that gives them the edge. it's bad call and dirty plays. let's not talk about their egos

Easy schedules really?, over the course of the Patriots modern dynasty, the have played the whole league, what? 3 times.. Easy schedule is an easy dismissive slight, one as a Panther you should understand. Even though we have had one of the toughest divisions in the same time span.

I actually rooted for them to beat Seattle in the SB.

Me too but that was when I thought that Brady would retire if they won and that was what he was waiting on. Then he decides to play for another decade. Screw him, I hope he nevers wins another Super Bowl and his last game he remembers is the taste of defeat.

Over the top????

I like the Pat's as for loosing Superbowl I was neutral on that. How can I hate what has been successful? I get the spy thing was bad, but deflate gate that was blown out of portion. They were going to win and I don't know if that really altered anything anyways. Everytime gets away with something I would think. But to consistently interchange players and still win is masterful. Hate them all you want bUT most people on top are always hated good or bad. The Goat .I just wished Rivera had his approach in the in game decision-making and staff.

Respect the hell out of the Patriots.  Think Belichek is top 3 greatest football coaches of all times. Think Brady is top 3 QB of all time.

That being said, don't like them.   It's a jealousy hatred type thing.

I hope and pray for the day we are hated like the Patriots.

I don't think you can say Brady is the GOAT QB anymore.  I mean, if Montana goes down do the 9ers keep on trucking like this dude?  Cassell got 11 wins with the Pats organization.  Jacoby Brissett just beat a 2-0 team 27-0, and Jimmy G was 2-0 versus the Cardinals and Phins.  I just can't say Brady is the GOAT when it feels like their whole system is plug and play.

Every QB who's stepped in for Brady under Bill has done just as well as Brady has. I've been saying this forever that Brady is absolutely the definition of a system QB. He's the best QB for Bill's system but the dropoff to some 2nd year QB isn't much at all. Cam probably wouldn't do great in that offense but there are dozens of other style of QBs who could. Peyton is a QB who can legit carry his team to a Super Bowl win without spectacular offensive coaching or a great D. And the Pats have only won 1 Super Bowl where the offense was anything special. Brady's a hall of famer but not even close to the first I'd pick if I were starting a team, unless I could take Belichick too. But I wouldn't ever take Belichick since I have integrity.

How can you not respect what Belichick has done?

Denver on the other hand is an easy team to hate.

There are individuals on Denver I hate, but that doesn't make me hate the team. The Patriots as a whole organization are scum and are easy to have no respect for.

What about the playoffs and super bowl games? Do you think they could win with backup qbs in those high pressure games? I very much doubt it.

loathe Brady and the patriots org but I'm not gonna act like some backup can do what Brady has done in that system in the playoffs and super bowl appearances.

I took me few years to bury that Superbow loss disappointment. Wasn't really hatred but I'm like that about all sports.

I was team Holyfield when I watched him as a kid in the 84 Olympics. I didn't like Tyson at all until after his career was over. But I sure didn't miss an Iron Mike fight.

Same for the Patriots, it's rare that I pull for them but they are entertaining to watch and I appreciate what they do.

But part of it is legit hatred of a system of cheating, same with the Saints.  With Bounty Gate, Deflate Gate, Recording other teams, this was institutionalized cheating by the TEAM.

As good as they are (Pats) it is very puzzling why they cheat.  Seems sort of like the Nixon paranoia.

their system is impeccable:  crisp, precise passes no more than 5 yards down field.  run the ball for another 4 up the soft middle created by the precise passing.  those two things plus one more:  DON'T MAKE MISTAKES.  protect the ball and wait for the other team to blow it.

It helps me (at least a little) to remember that our o-line was on roids.

and also that it wasn't illegal to record practices at the time. it wasn't made illegal until 2007 when they got busted for continuing the practice.
