The refs just don't like Cam..

Play before the interception,  was a blatant horse collar tackle..  I mean do they treat or see him in a different light because he's mobile?

I just don't get it, why doesn't he get the calls he should... I was watching the Skins and Vagiants game back and forth and Eli got an obvious call. Shot to his legs. Immediately I think... Had this been Cam. Nah, we're good, no call needed. :/

Any player on the field should have gotten the horse collar call.

The League specifically changed the rul this year:

"

When the NFL adopted a rule against horse-collar tackles, they made it against the rules for a player to tackle an opponent other than a quarterback in the pocket by pulling him down with a grab inside the shoulder pads from behind.

That rule will be a bit different in the 2016 season. The league approved a proposed rule change from the Competition Committee on Tuesday that will make it illegal when a “defender grabs the jersey at the name plate or above and pulls a runner toward the ground.”

This ish is seriously pissing me off.

I thought the same thing but after looking at it again, he didn't have his hand under Cam's collar.  I think it has to be a hand under the collar to be a horse collar.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
