Why I'm not concerned at 1-2

We just played 2 of the toughest defenses and teams we will play all year during our last 3 games. Denver won the SB last year on defense alone, and the Vikings won the NFCN last year on Defense alone.  Our next tough team from a defensive stand point is Seattle in Seattle and they have looked worse then us so far.  I will start to get concerned if we are still lose between now and the bye.

Its it's time for us to remind the NFCS who it's daddy is!!!

So we go to the playoffs just to lose to the same team?

Never heard of game tape and adjustments? It happens. The other team plays football too, tho a lot of fans forget that.

we don't want to go to Minnesota in the winter tho.

also relying heavy on the defense can cause problems. Later in the year they may be really worn out. Because even bough they won today you can't say they had a good game on offense.

Everyone should be VERY concerned after what the coaching staff displayed today.  We caught the league by storm last year.  Well, guess what?  Other coaches are REALLY REALLY GOOD and can game plan! Our one-year smack in the face isn't enough for sustained success in the NFL no matter the caliber of talent.

Here's my two cents on our current situation.  As long as everyone in the NFC South continues to lose, we're okay.  Tampa needs to lose and the Skanks need to win and we're still tied for first place.  I do believe once the weather becomes cooler, we'll play better.  The heat has been brutal for them.

However, weak areas are starting to pile up.  ST, DE, RT/LT, OC, OL-coach.  If we continue to lose and start to feel that any chance for a playoff spot is becoming out of reach, then it may be time to think about tanking in order to get a good draft spot.  The draft is looking real good next year, but most importantly, it would be time to spend some money and upgrade a few areas.  Because not only do we have several weak areas due to poor talent, but we have a few areas with guys very close to retirement, Davis, Ste, Kalil, Olsen.  But like I said, it's still very early, plenty of time to turn things around, but if things don't change quickly, then it's time to start cleaning up and rebuild.

    • I wonder if the Hornets view Kon and McNeeley more as forwards and plan to ship off Green/Okogie/Smith for center help. I hope they don’t plan to ship off Sexton as I like what he brings to the team. (2) G - Ball, Mann, Simpson (two-way) (3) G - Sexton, Dinwiddie, Connaughton (3) F - Miller, Knueppel, McNeeley, James (two-way) (3) F - Bridges, Williams, Salaun (3) C - Diabate, Kalkbrenner, Plumlee
    • 3 main reasons he was better in 2023 and none of them concern me for his NFL prospects 1. Totally new coaching staff that was a massive downgrade and had god awful play calling and designs, the entire fan base was ready to run the coaching staff out of town a month into their first season and the play caller ended up getting changed because it was so bad. 2. Along with the staff downgrade, his QB played significantly worse after being the Pac 12 Freshman of the Year in 2023.  Constantly missed T-Mac when he was wide open, lost out on a number of TDs and a good amount of yardage, half the time T-Mac still almost made miraculous catches on the bad passes too. 3. He hurt his ankle over the summer and missed all of fall camp only to return to practice a few days before the season started and I think he had to deal with it all season long and was slightly limping at times mid season too, but kept fighting through it to still be a 1st team All American.
    • Good luck to Burns. He’s fine as a third pairing defensemen but Rod is too stubborn to do that.
