RIchard Sherman on player safety (Cam mentioned)

While I agree with everything he said, the problem continues to be that people are talking about Cam getting hit and focus on whether or not he had a concussion, and the focus should be on the pieces of poo that kept spearing him.

So Sherman can (rightfully) bitch that the NFL didn't do enough to protect Cam, but can't sidestep the fact that had those players been suspended like they should have, the NFL players union would have fought tooth and nail to overturn it.

For the most part, this is applicable to all business.

You think the big banks of Charlotte care about their employees? Bottom line = All that matters. Yet look at the career pages of most of these companies with words like "family" and "culture" thrown around.

Once you see a company (find a loophole to) terminate a tenured employee diagnosed with cancer, essentially giving them a death sentence, this becomes painfully obvious.

Aren't the dirty players a big part of the problem as well?  I mean everybody is making money in the game so it comes down to how the players want to player the game.

The game can still be competitive without a few cheap shots to the head because you can't beat the guy otherwise.    No one involved with the game has clean hands on this issue.  Not the owners who profit from a gladiator sport, not the players who's drive to be rich and famous playing a kids game and will risk seious injury or death to do so.  The fans want their thrills and most are too ignorant or uninterested in the squabbles between millionaires and billionaires.

Until the players decide what kind of game they want to play and police their own dirty players and the league decides to enforce meaningful punishment on obvious and repeat offends like they do in cases of drug and peds, they all are just wasting oxygen.

    • Did not expect this from national media. https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/10-best-nfl-defenses-2026-texans-seahawks-broncos 10. Carolina Panthers   Key additions: OLB Jaelan Phillips (FA), LB Devin Lloyd (FA), DT Lee Hunter (draft) Key losses: DT A’Shawn Robinson (FA) Don’t be surprised to see the Panthers, who ranked 15th in points allowed and 16th in yards given up last season, make the leap into the top-10 conversation in 2026.  They added two of the marquee defensive free agents in edge rusher Jaelan Phillips and linebacker Devin Lloyd. Cornerback Jaycee Horn is coming off back-to-back Pro Bowl seasons. Carolina lost starting defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson in free agency but essentially replaced him with second-round pick Lee Hunter, who had 10.5 tackles for loss at Texas Tech last season.  Ejiro Evero, one of the NFL’s most respected defensive coordinators, has plenty of talent to work with.
    • unless you have a bonafide superstar at Qb you bring in competition every year until you do & or at the very least you want a legitimate plan B in case of an injury .the problem in Carolina is they know Bryce ayoung most likely could not actually win a real legitimate NFL Qb competition right now & if & when he did not win that aforesaid Qb competition it would not only be a major distraction but a setback to his overall development.& moreover once the fans realized they had a much better Qb on the roster it would be alot of public pressure to start the better Qb  ...just saying
