Man I miss that fiery little dude. One exciting football player. I know it is a long shot, but it would be only fitting if he were to make the HOF. Considering the hodgepodge of QBs he had to work with, he did wind up having a great career.

Well he's not retired man so no worries! Also I think he's got an 80% chance for HOF. No Super Bowl hurt him, but he was the reason they were even in he Super Bowl. X Clown forever

Well, he did say, "Football WAS a dream as a kid". While thanking all those people. Seems like an odd tweet if he is not done. But hey, Smitty is a different kind of cat.

 

Not so sure he is a lock for the HOF. Lot's of WRs have retired lately. It all depends on whether the panel takes into account his size, ability, accomplishments, and the QBs he played with. I will hope he makes it. I just am not totally convinced he will.

I am sure Dave Gettleman, Ron Rivera, John Fox, Dan Henning, Jeff Davidson, Rob Chudzinski, and Mike Shula are among those other 20 people he forgot to mention.

He will gladly retire a Panther when Gettleman and Rivera are gone.
