Yeah let's try half ass addressing the OL by signing a bum off the street now that our QB has missed a game due to a concussion after getting blasted behind our OL, we're 1-4, and we just lost to the Bucs at home for the first time in 4 f*cking years.

ugh. this is more on the side of nausea than excitement.  these guys have been sitting on the couch for weeks because they couldn't make other teams.  When there are capable players on teams possibly willing to be dealt for a price.  This is just G-man being G-man and pinching a penny.   *Face Palm*

Pathetic. Trying out street guys mid-season because they didn't properly fill the roster. fuging pathetic.

This is something Gettleman does regularly throughout every season. He did it last year too. It goes with his philosophy to always churn the bottom of the roster and PS. I'm all aboard the fug Gettleman bandwagon but this is not an indictment of anything. It's pretty standard.

You are not going to fix the ills of this team by trading for players.  There's just too many problems for one or two players to compensate for.  Like Igo said, most should've been addressed in March but for whatever reason it didn't happen.   There's enough blame to go around for the current shitshow we are seeing.  I understand the FO's thinking that what they had should be good enough to get through this season in most cases but where they failed was having a backup plan if it went south in a hurry, like it has.

I'm not one that thinks throwing money at over paid FA's are the answer but there has to be a balance until the young guys get their feet under them.  G-man is right that the vast majority of kids coming out of college are less prepared for the NFL today than in years past so the 3 year theory is looking to be the norm.  Having said that, he should have had a plan to offset the learning curve for the rookies by using hired "Mercenaries" as he likes to call them until his kids are ready.

J-O-E T-H-O-M-A-S It's not that hard Gettleman.

Really, let's all get excited about a 31 year old tackle who almost called it a career at the end of last season? That's not a fix, that's duct tape over the hole in a flat tire.

Trading for Joe Haden will not happen...that would basically mean Gettleman admitting, in a huge way, he screwed the pooch on the Norman situation and solution.

Same with Joe Thomas/Turnstile Remmers.

Sadly, this is the best we can hope for
