I would also love for the Panthers to look at Tarik Cohen of NC A&T State University in the middle rounds. This guy is an amazing talent that could offer a lot of versatility to our offense. Worst case scenario he shores up PR and KR for the next 10 years.

I was kind of thinking something along these lines. I wonder what type of offers we could get considering the amount of needs we are looking at. Personally I think if we don't trade down we should either get an offensive player or a good pass rusher if defense. I'd prefer to pick up a veteran CB in free agency so we have somebody to teach the highly inexperienced players we have now. This is, of course, assuming we don't some how get things to click and start getting some wins. On a separate note, are there any good TE's that might be available this draft? I'd really like to get a guy to complement Olsen and maybe learn from him until his retirement (hopefully far in the future).

As sorry as I am to say it, because I'm also an advocate for getting Cam more protection, Myles Garrett is a game-changing talent AND he would fill a massive weak spot. If he is there: Garrett, bar none (aside from a trade down for someone desperate for a QB).

Right now the secondary and the DE position needs to be addressed.

Simple and plain.

You can thank the GM for wasted time.

Pick an OT later in the draft.

The DBs and DEs were not addressed well in 2016. Wish they were. Then this defense would be solid. The 2017 draft could have been exclusively used to stock the offense if they wanted to do that.

we are going to end up winning the last 6 games like rivera always does so it doesn't look so bad and no one gets fired. But miles garrett i seen and met in person he is a straight beast. he is von miller 2.0 we would be a serious contender next year if we get that man

I may get some thumbs down on this comment, but the only offensive player I'd consider taking in the 1st round (assuming we don't trade down) would be Fournette. Every couple of years a guy comes out of college and you know he's going to be great at the next level (ex Peterson, Gurley). Carolina prides itself on a strong running game and we need a workhorse back to take pressure off of Cam and keep the defense off of the field. We need OT's. But, I don't think we have one in this years draft worth a top 5 (or top 10 pick). Besides, we could try to get a veteran during FA if Gettleman is willing to pay him.

Our tackles aren't great, but we did lead the league in scoring a year ago. We were just a missed FG from beating Denver on the road to start the season. We lost on the road to Atlanta after scoring 33points and New Orleans after scoring 38 points. In the latter two games we had to make huge comebacks because the defense couldn't stop anybody. In the 1st game we gave two 4th quarter TD's. If we had a middle of the road defense this year we'd be 4-2 or 3-3 at worst.

I'd go DE 1st. Possibly CB if the DE you mentioned was gone. If they were both gone I'd go HB. If we finish top 5 that means we have top 5 picks in the 1-3 rounds. No 4th round pick, but we should get an extra 3rd round because of losing Norman.

If we pick a DT or LB I'm going to jump out of my window.

I don't think Carolina will have a top 5 pick.

If they do, however, and Garrett is on the board, you run to the podium with the pick. Second choice would be Fournette. He and Cam in the same backfield would be unfair.

Adams is going to be an outstanding safety. Depending on how the board falls, I could see him going top 5, but top 10 is more realistic. But, he has a chance to be special.

Why don't you just tell us who you think we should pick and stop beating around the bush?

Seriously though, I agree with you. But knowing our luck we'll win just enough games to see someone pick 1 or 2 spots via draft slot or wise GM trading up to grab him early in the draft.

The thing is that if it's close in the 4th quarter, then we know our DBs are going to lay down. That gives our opponents a better chance of winning and us racking up losses. Or so I hope.
