The last movie was pretty good until the final boss, that's when they lost me, but it was great before that and even at pg-13 was close to capturing what the movie should be.   Hopefully this is good but I'll probably wait for blu-ray unless reviews are amazing.

I was kind of ambivalent about the film when I first heard about it.  I mean, Hugh Jackman is very handsome and charming.  I generally find him enjoyable as a performer.

Then I saw the trailer, and I am very perked up.  I don't know if it's because I love the Johnny Cash version of Hurt, or the simple idea the he's one of the last mutants, and there's a bit of a redemption arc to it.  I'm a sucker for stuff like that.

Right now, I think it might be the song.  Damn, I mean, you could put Kat's death from Halo REACH to the song and it would make the game f'ing incredible until you play through it...  Hrm....might need to do some clipping today LOL =)

I honestly had no drive to see this movie when it was first announced, but that may be the best comic trailer in a while probably since MoS.

I don't see SFX or CGI driving the film. Could it have a real story and real characters? Could FOX execs have finally stopped meddling in these films.

It looks truly good. The Wolverine had so much potential but fell apart towards the end. Logan might provide the proper ending Jackman and the fans have been looking for his version of Wolverine. I can't believe it's been 17 years already. It's been one of hell of a ride. Lots of ups and downs but I can't imagine anyone else to play the character. Damn... it's really over.

By the way, anyone who hasn't read the Old Man Logan series needs to before seeing this film. It's not the same plot that this film will follow but Miller's version of Wolverine was unique.

I second this. Old Man Logan is such a bad ass book. Seriously, go read it.

This is loosely based on the Old Man Logan Comic. Just the premise, not the actual subject matter. In the Comic he doesn't really deal with X-23 much. In All New Wolverine you find out what happens to Laura Kinney in Old Man Logans time line. Not the one he was brought to. It's a little hectic to follow but from the trailers that I've seen. It seems like the topic will be post mutant era with the introduction of a young X-23 (Laura Kinney). X-23 is my favorite female character and I hope they do her right.

    • No, you're right. It doesn't mean you can't call out his flaws and poor play. But it also doesn't mean you can't admit when he plays well and shows improvement. Not you personally, just in general I mean.
    • I will say, I do think there's a version of Bryce that could be really successful as a high-volume passer in a spread-based offense built around quick throws and timing-based intermediate throws with deeper throws schemed up around them. I actually think the power run based offense we're running is a poor fit for Bryce as it requires him to play under center far more often. It's a very traditional offensive approach whereas I think a scheme that spreads defenses out and lets Bryce distribute the ball quickly with anticipation and accuracy is the sweet spot for him. The key, of course, is to find a way to run the ball efficiently out of those formations. Our personnel right now (backs and OL) aren't good fits for that style of offense and I'm not sure it's a scheme Dave Canales favors very much either.
    • I root for him, and I hope for the best, as does essentially everyone. But that doesn’t mean you can’t call out flaws and bad plays. And that’s what a lot of people get wrong.  I hope I’m wrong and that he continues to improve a lot, I just doubt it. But I’ve been wrong before
