That was a strange move. Signed him, then almost immediately put him on the IR. I guess they are stashing him for the future.

Actually your memory might be a bit hazy. Initially when the Panthers released Brandon Boykin it was a mystery. His tweets even seemed hint that he didn't know why he was released, other than saying "they decided to go with the young guys". It wasn't until later that him being injured was public information.

Edit: Actually I've just read an article where Brandon Boykin is quoted saying he "has no injury issues".
