Gronk out, Olsen on pace for history

'Ole Mister Reliable looks like he's going to show it to the NFL with a first in league history by being the first TE to ever go for 1,000 yards in 3 straight seasons. He has 790 yards right now with 5 games to go, that's just 42 yards per game needed to get be the first and only TE to do this. Gronk had a chance to do it this year as well but he's had various injuries all season and now is out for the rest of it with a back injury. Gronk and Greg are certainly the best two tight ends in the league right now. I will admit, when healthy, Gronk is easily the best. Much better blocker in both pass pro and run blocking than Greg, and is a more dominant receiver. But the only thing that's been consistent throughout his career is that he'll be injured at some point. Greg really is the best, most reliable TE in the league right now. One of the few bright spots this season, despite the back breaking drop in Oakland and a slower pace than he started the year on.

Would be a nice win for Panther nation if he gets it. Seems to be trending that way.

If you're a fan of football you have to like Gronks style. Unfortunately his style doesn't bode well for longetivy in the NFL. Reckless abandon is fun to watch but hell on the body.

Get him a young rookie to mentor & take some of the unecessary load off him and allow him to make the bigger plays.

    • Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.
    • All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
