Any chance Cam Robinson falls to us?

As I posted weeks ago, we are screwed on OT.

FA affords very little and the draft is the same in early rounds.  To compound the draft position, OT is the 2nd most overdrafted position beyond QB.  If a guy grades out in the mid twenties, he will be drafted between 10-15.  The OT from WI will probably go late first round even though he has a second round grade.

Couple this with Gettleman hardly EVER being involved with drafting a 1st round tackle (Giants or Panthers) and Robinsons off field issues, then the smart money is on Barnett or ????? at our 6-15 pick

I'm fine with offense after the 1st. It seems like we might have to reach in the 1st if we have to go offense. If a stud SS like Adams is available, I'd be ecstatic. I want a sure thing with our first round pick. I don't feel the same way about the offensive guys in the top 15. Even Cook, while I love him as a prospect, I'd rather get someone else plus one of the many other good RBs later.

Might as well rename us the Carolina Jets if we draft defense again in the first round.  This DB class is stacked we can easily find one in the second or third round.

Sure he could fall to us. . .in the 2nd round. This dude's stock is dropping quickly to the point where I'm seeing him as a late 1st round pick in mocks becuase he is viewed as a career RT in the NFL who could possibly be moved to guard. There is also the off-the-field risk factor. Obviously, that's not everything, but he isn't considered a can't miss prospect anymore.

I agree, just like Jamal Adams a lot and the OTs scare me in the top 10. This isn't a draft class of OT studs, so I'd rather wait on the guys who have some talent but maybe just need to get healthy and get coached up. The top 15 seems so defense heavy that I'd hate to see us reach when we could use our 2nd/3rd and comp 3rd to get some RB/TE talent as those are also really stacked and unlike CB/OT, those are not premium draft positions so you are getting the top guys still in the 2nd/3rd.

Robinson is as good a prospect as Garrett IMO. This safety class is to deep to waste a first round pick on one especially with our offense struggling. And we don't need another young CB.
