Get the cowboys to trade us Tyron Smith for a conditional 7th, Steelers send us Antonio Brown and Le'veon Bell for a 6th, Aaron Donald for free, Khalil Mack for Tolbert, Harrison Smith for Bersin, Kam Chancellor and Sherman for Oher and all the team above cover the player salaries indefinitely, plus give us all their extra cap room.

Gotta have a plan...lol

OT has been a glaring need Cam's entire career. Yet, here we are still getting by with journeyman free agents.

Reigning MVP...first round pick...franchise player...takes beatings in the pocket as much as any player in the league.  Rule number one in investing...protect your investment.  Failure to address this will lead to a shorter and less effective career for Newton and a weaker return on your investment, and that just does not make sense.

The OL deficiency has has has to be addressed.

Oakland and Dallas understand that, hence why they have two of the best records in the NFL. It's no guarantee as Carr got his leg broken in a game when he was only sacked once, but you can't leave your franchise QB back there to take a beating.

Sadly, the franchises with probably the three best proven young QBs in the league (Panthers - Newton, Colts - Luck, Seahawks - Wilson) have done exactly that. It's not a coincidence that only one of those teams is playoff bound and it's largely because that team has the #7 defense in the NFL.

I'm surprised that so many are leaving no 1 WR off. To me this is up there with LT and SS. Only WRs that can get separation is Ginn and sometimes Philly

I don't disagree with our need for a WR.  I just don't know if it supersedes other needs.  Maybe you see how the draft falls.  I would prefer taking a lineman very early, but would not be opposed to looking at a potentially undervauled WR in rounds three or four if it is there for the taking.  Ginn will be 32 next year, Funchess has been all hype and little value from the get go, and who really knows what to make of Benjamin.  We certainly have a WR need, I agree.

Between the two of them how many playoff appearances do they have since 2010? Answer is one, and it was because of a wild card.

Actually you could have made the same statement about our line last year and backed it up with our record. Depending on what metric you used and which site you looked at you could make the argument that our line was top-3 in the league last year.

Building a roster is a process. A big part of that process for the Raiders and Cowboys was putting together an elite OL and putting legit weapons around their QB.

Blowing up a roster can be done overnight. Injuries played a big role in that for us this year, but we let some key vets walk and we did virtually nothing to address our weaknesses aside from spamming draft picks at CBs.

First Step: Fire Shula (Hire a well established NFL OC)

Second Step: Cut Stewart

Third Step: Draft RB, TE, WR, OT, OT, S, and LB.

Fourth Step: Sign DE, sign S, and resign key players (mostly defensive players)

Fifth Step: Go Win A Super Bowl (finally)

All but the Stewart thing...
