I'd be okay with bringing back a 32 year old if NY retains about 25% of his salary. Otherwise, I'm looking more long-term and would appreciate a younger guy who will be around for a minute. Tro is under contract at $5.625M AAV through the 29-30 season. Canes get him at $4M and not have to give up the farm, I'm okay with it. You gotta know he's probably not here but for 2, maybe 3 years tops. Never been a fan of getting a 2-3 year guy and giving up a 5-6 year guy. -

If he's gonna wait until next year's hiring cycle to jump back in the mix then he's probably going to take one of those advisor roles on a staff similar to what we have with Dom Capers. Basically just a mind to pick. The thing is that I don't think there's any connections to McD with our current staff. We'd be much more likely to reach out to Pete Carroll for that type of role which honestly I think we should.
