Shula got exposed in the SB and week 1 and all other teams followed the blue print. Shula has been figured out and you can't win any championships when your opponents already know what you're going to do and will make no adjustments.

And here I thought we lost week one due to missing a field goal. If anything got exposed it was our weak line and the referees bias against Cam. We are going to have to revamp our whole running attack because the refs are ignoring head shots to quarterbacks running the ball which really didn't happen that much until this year. I don't remember Cam ever taking so many deliberate shots to the head until this season.

You ok with average...  you might be in denial but it is what it is.  You can defend Shula all you want but the dude got track record of being an average joe...  Did you know this year we had almost as many yards on offense as last year?  Shula is pretty consistent, I gotta give him that.

You are going to give yourself a cramp reaching that far. I did say that very few folks are not frustrated with this Offense, or did you just not want to address that?

We all know what we have in Shula. So because I can see that, and not be on the ledge. Means I am "Ok with average"? You are so deep in your distaste for Shula, you can't allow yourself to comprehend others are not on your level. It seems like it is all or nothing for you. "You must hate Shula, or you are ok with average".

Sorry, I am not going there. Call it denial if you wish. I prefer to think of it as just being level headed.

Cam could not audible due to line. But Shula should have worked on Blitzes because every team pretty much did it...The plays we normally  run the team should be more than capable to execute..The new stuff is what needs practicing but guess what we had nothing new...Makes you wonder what type of game planning are you doing..Without Cam audibliing last year the offense would have been poo..You see that now...Shula sucks if you have to audible at least 95% of your snaps that tells how much your coordinator knows..the success of the audibles are an indication of how much your qb knows..

Wow...just wow..

I know you hate Shula, but dude, that was truly fantastical. I mean, just wow. I will say you have a great imagination, cuz that was incredible.

When you come back down to earth, let me know. Maybe then we can have a Rational debate.

You are not.  I'm using aging statistics to show you Shula is mid of the table OC.  I'm not deep in my distaste of Shula. I'm pointing out the obvious.  We have the talent to be much better than 15th ranked offense.  You call it level headed, I call it content with underperforming.

I call it pretty decent considering you had 1 starter on the offensive line who started every game at the same position. We had guys coming off the street to be the starting center in a matter of weeks. Until the injuries started we were top 10 in points scored. If you don't think the line was an issue just ask Cam what he thinks. He almost got David Carred because of it.

The only option since this asshat isn't going to get fired b/c this organization hates the word "change" due to its inability to adapt (maybe it's a redneck thing), the only option is to break the bank on a left tackle and solidfy this line. I don't want Remmers for backup b/c even if he came in for one play, that one play would be the one to end someone's career. I love Daryl at right tackle, but it's time to stop being in denial about the the personnel we have. Bradberry should be the starter next year too, but we need to break the bank on a corner out there that's a veteran with speed. Maybe he can read QB's eyes worth the poo, but if he's got speed and size fug it. We can't keep giving "cheers" to these youngsters. We have the damn cap space, you better fuging use it. If we go in with this same team next year aside from rookies and we have the cheapest roster in the NFL, you will then know this has nothing to do with Rivera or Gettleman and it comes from the top. Richardson. Which is an argmuent on this board years ago. We have one bad year going after free agents with a subpar general manager so we never splurge again. The dolphins splurging finally paid off and they made the super bowl. The Raiders grew from within but at the same time, splurged where they needed to. What happens when you don't spend money in Free Agency? YOU TURN INTO THE fuging CLEVELAND BROWNS. OPEN THE GOD DAMN CHECK BOOK TO GIVE CAM OPTIONS AND TIME FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

If you remove Cam from the equation and compare what we give a QB vs the other 31 teams.....we are not in the top half

our healthy OL is below average, Ted Ginn Jr is our best WR (who is a bench warmer on most teams).

A TE and good RB (there are plenty of them) don't put us in the top half in terms of offensive talent around a QB.

We are Cam to a large degree and make it though for him to have consistent success by the lack of building effectively around him

To me, this is all a by product of how this season played out. The frustration is all over this place. I can see it, folks expected more from this team. So now they are voicing their displeasure. If you aren't supporting the frustration, you must be happy with the status quo.

There is no middle ground. You must either be frustrated, and wanting heads to roll. Or you are content with mediocrity.

My point is; Our Oline went from being pretty good. To man, I can't believe they are playing that well. Oher, and Kalil were big loses. We did get pretty lucky that Remmers, and Larsen played as well as they did. Because it could have been a whole lot worse.

Get Oher back, (Or even upgrade him if possible) get Kalil back, and this Offense should get back to being pretty dang good. Even with Shula. But if an OC drops on our doorstep, we would be remiss not to use him. Inject some new thinking into the O. Who knows what could happen.

IMO, until Gman does something in FA that folks can get behind. We are going to be seeing a lot of frustration around here. So FA can't get here fast enough.

Do these names ring a bell? John Graves, Warren Belin and Fred Graves?

Rivera fired all of them after the 2012 season. Graves and Settle were both offensive coaches (Running backs and WR's). So if Rivera believes anyone of his staff is holding him back, he's proven he will make the business decision and replace them.

Those firing's occurred after a 7 win season. Since then we have had another 7 win season and a 6 win season, so he has the justification this year to move on from Shula if he thought it would be a good move. Keep in mind his buddy Norv Turner is out there now, so if he thought like many fans do on here, he'd make that move.

And I call it, letting your frustration get the better of you. It's OK, fans are allowed to be emotional. The problem with all that emotion? It can get in the way of your critical thinking. So you have a tendency to over-state things, and call out other fans for not supporting you.

Us level headed types? We see what you see, we just don't go overboard, or try and make them sound worse than they actually are. AND, we can actually see some positives in the situation.

For instance. I see a team that was just a few plays away from having a winning season. A team with plenty of money to spend, for the first time in our GMs stay. With pretty dang good draft position. Plenty of reasons to be excited.

You see a team in disarray. A team that is underperforming. A team that needs changes. You are so steadfast in this belief, you cannot see a bright future through all those clouds.

Love when player performance is not brought in when the Shula hate begins, especially the missed fgs, sacks that took us out of fg range, and lazy route running ect

My favorite is Shula not getting the plays called fast enough causes us to waste timeouts as the play clock starts to expire on us.

They seem to not realize or forget that the play has to be in with 15 seconds left on the play clock. Or ignore the fact that on many plays when the 40 second clock starts, Cam's brain is still putting itself back together because he just rocked with a helmet to helmet hit that wasn't called.
