Would Mike Williams be wasted in Carolina?

Which OL at 8? The current consensus is there isn't one close to being worth the 8th pick. That is why you see discussion of other positions. If there was it would be a no brainer. Trading down seems the prudent way to pick up a tackle if that is what they want. But reaching for a player with the 8th pick and overlooking potential studs doesn't help the team.

We have Mike Williams type receivers already (and possibly one already on the PS), so in that sense he would be a waste.

Corey Davis is  more of a need, and a better fit.

Mike Williams knows how to get open with great hands and body control besides. Yeah, he'll never torch anyone like Julio, but he's plenty good to be an eventual #1 on all but a few teams.

I've decided that every single player under Shula is a waste. And Cam is being wasted under him and Dorsey particularly. Yes he was MVP last year, but he can be so much better under an offensive staff that can actually build a real offense and not one that rides Cam's coattails.

Would be GREAT if that team was either the Tennessee Titans or San Diego Chargers.

I think he would help paper over lots of OL / Cam deficiencies. Doesn't need to be open (or a perfect throw) to make a catch.
