Foxy was a very good HC. He just got stubborn later in his coaching career here. But, kind of see that in River too, so not sure if I could put the blame completely on his shoulders or someone above.

Defensive coaches tend to be spotty head coaches. JR thinks offensive guys get stubborn but I think it's the opposite.

For a moment, I thought this was about John Fox and his "It is what is."

Can't say I was a fan that far back. I want to say it was the home game against the Bucs the same year when I started to pay attention. I've been wanting to watch the entire game against Jacksonville but never been able to find it.

We've been there twice now and lost so I think it's time to up the expectations and not really dwell on failed Cinderella stories and coulda beens.

We have a core that has the talent win two chips at least....but like Fox...we don't have the staff to do it. Denvers core in both SBs were the same....Fox was what held them back. We are in the situation where Rivera has gathered a SB team but we won't win with him...we need/needed to make a change to get us over the top but....we're not that type of franchise.

We'll be posting these memories about lost SBs until the franchise changes in terms of mentality and willingness to do what's necessary to win. The good franchises recognize problems even in a winning season there upgrades to be made...we'll we didn't and even lost talent with the type of ego I don't think could be measured.

Which is really funny in hindsight cuz anyone but us would be like "lol who the fug are they/who do they think THEY are".
