The hosts in Ohio were absolute, unapologetic homers. They didn't give a flaming s--t about being objective or fair to anybody else. If you didn't cheer for the home team then screw you. And they sure as hell wouldn't allow someone who cheered for anyone else to have an on air show or run anything at the station.

i actually liked Nate's show with QCB better than Garcia's or Mac's tbh. Kroeger is the man.

That 11 o'clock spot is cursed man. station seems to put people in that spot they wanna get rid of very soon. Something tells me QCB ain't going anywhere tho.

Nate did get on my nerves sometimes with how worked up he would get and dismissive of other people's opinions... drop their call and call them stupid without even hearing them out. Either way, always sucks to hear someone lost their job. good luck in the future.

WBT (and The Link) was sold to Beasley media. This put Beasley over their 7 max properties in market (FCC). Beasley then sold BT, LNK, and FNZ to Entercom. 

Thats like the fourth time in a decade historic radio station WBT has been sold. It's also why you don't hear former host Keith Larson on the airwaves anymore. Could be why the doucher Conley isn't on air anymore as well. New management  

Also, wfnz is horrible. It has lazy host that obviously just want to piss off whichever fan base is the lowest hanging fruit to load the lines.

Kroeger seems like a nice young man, but he often doesn't know what he is talking about. Especially anything outside of the Panthers. 

The charlotte market in general is pretty crappy in sports talk. It's basically a stepping stone job.

If you are listening to wfnz you need to change it up immediately. It is a horrible station and you get dumber every time you hear it. 

I also don't know what any UNC fans would listen to them. Every show has a Duke homer and if UNC loses a game that's all they will do the next day is kick UNC when they are down and act like the world is coming to end by trying to piss off every UNC fan so they load the lines. It's embarrassing. 

Listen to Dan Patrick and Jim Rome. Thank me later.

Oh dude works like 15 hours a day and I can respect that but seriously can they not fill out 4 shows without him being on 3 of the 4

It does get pretty awful especially when they start speculating about stuff.  I catch myself turning it off several times a week bc somebody says something so dumb I can't listen any longer.   Shouldn't be near as bad once they have something to talk about.

I stopped listening to FNZ almost completely. After Celania left the Mac Attack, it became boring. The 10am block is unbearable, and I'm too busy at work to listen to Kroeg in the afternoon. 

Was Jim Celania fired ("forced to retire") or did he actually retire?

ESPN here isn't much better, it's probably worse. None of the guys on there (or FNZ) know what they're talking about. 

As big of a market that Charlotte is, I'd be willing to bet that the morning FNZ show....mac attack or whatever is probably the worst in a T25 market.

Celania prob retired. He's old   .

Yeah they're program director (who is a Duke fan and obvious UNC hater).....I don't know how he still has a job. They've reshuffled hosts, lineups, programming and the result is still the same. FNZ is complete garbage and borderline unlistenable. They benefit from having a couple pro sports teams and a few groups of rabid college fanbases in the area.
