How about J.J. Watt as a Panther?

How insane would our defense be with a healthy J.J. Watt.

I don't think we have anything to really offer them but the thought of Houston trading him is insane.

Why not dream,  What would you give up?

I definitely give up our 1st rounder for him, providing he passes a physical.    I am sure they would want more than just a 1st rounder.

Not sure if that trade would make any sense for Houston. Yeah, they get a dominant TE but a dominant TE who hasn't played a full 16 game season since 2011 and a dominant TE still doesn't do them a lot of good without a QB. Might as well add the most dominant defensive player in the NFL back to an already dominant defense. Watt had been very reliable up until this season. I get the trade for NE. They just won a SB without Gronk and that offense will keep humming along without Gronk, but Watt would be a game changer for their D.

As for us? Hell yeah, I'd love to have Watt! But what would we offer? Maybe Houston has a QB they covet at #8? #8 for JJ Watt... yeah, I'd do it as long as the medicals checked out.

Watt is such a physical player that his body has taken such a beating that I doubt he will have more than a few product years left. His best years are behind him and  will not be as good as he has shown or as healthy. He certainly will not be worth his contract.

I have a feeling that Watt will be retired due to recurring back issues in the next year or two. His back will continue to get worse and worse unfortunately. Once you have surgery on a disc it's only a matter of time until it goes out again....And he's had 2 surgeries on the same level in the last year. One more and he's likely done.

    • Bryce has been playing the best ball of his career the last three games IMO. He wasn't the reason we dropped the game in NOLA. Seattle's defense will be his toughest challenge yet this season
    • I'll be at the game Sunday and up until last year I had a perfect attendance record. Now however I have seen us lose to the Chiefs (last year) and the Bills (this year). So we can no longer rely solely on my ability to pound overpriced beers to propel us to a win.
    • I haven't been able to watch Seattle on a dedicated basis but the Seahawks are a much better team by the all accounts: eye test, record and DVOA. Defensively they are sick. Best DVOA in the league first in rushing and second in passing. Offensively their passing game has been on fire this year led by JSN I can easily see this being like the Buffalo game where things just get out of hand for us early, that being said this league really is week to week and Seattle does have the disadvantage of traveling cross country for an early game.  If and big if, the Panthers are able to effectively run the ball and limit the amount of time Seattle's offense has to generate explosive plays we have a path to winning this game.  Seattle fans won't be happy to hear this but bad Darnold is always lurking in the background. He is truly an enigma to root for bc he will have an incredible throw that only a few people can make but then will turn around and throw the most bone headed pick of all time.  I think ultimately we drop this one as ultimately it's human nature to be looking forward to that week 18 game. But man how special would it be to be leaving the stadium on Sunday with a win and a miracle dolphins upset
