How much do we trust Mayo?

so AJ wants to go and start, and he probably will.

Any Getty has Mayo waiting in the wings.....do we think he is the answer backing Luke, or do we need to make MLB a more important target in FA/Draft?

I haven't seen enough of him to have an opinion....what say you?

I remember his preseason debut and hearing him compared to Clay Matthews. 

HIs Tampa debut was also amazing.

I say we got ourselves a solid backup.

Not that I still wouldn't take a Marshon Lattimore just because we drafted Zack Sanchez, but that's different

Lattimore looks incredible and Sanchez has already been cut like twice

I'd say everyone but you.  Luke could be a single concussion away from being retired.  Yes we have bigger fish to fry, but this is what you do in the off-season.  You plan for everything.  

Think where we'd be the last 2 years without Greg or Luke.  It can happen in an instant.

I'm not sure that anyone can have trust in Mayo, as much as we just need to trust that out team, ie the scouts, coaches, and Gettleman.

I'm not worried about Luke at all but every Panthers fan should care about every position group and their depth, especially in an offseason discussion. Better thread than most here this time of year.

throttle down ricky bobby, my only point is that the team invested in him and he's going to be the guy next year. if somebody of great value falls in our lap then sure but there's already enough sticking points with Mayo that pretty demonstrably say "you've got the job."

And has been a beast on ST. Don't really recall Klein doing a whole lot there here. Another great draft pick by DG, even though it did seem like at the time we could've had him as a UDFA...
