There is no more official Huddle tailgate, and that's probably the biggest contributor to the loss of community.  But the loss of community doesn't necessarily mean loss of clicks or ad revenue, and I'm sure that as Jeremy doesn't care to run this place for free he's more interested in increasing the latter than the former.  And I don't blame him.

You also answered your own question when you brought up Facebook.  People don't come here to make new friends and connect with old ones, they use Social Media.  This place is for football discussion.

it was a good place for football discussion, but many have stopped contributing because it's turned into a forum filled with knee-jerk reactions, and bruh threads. not much meat to chew on these days.

A lousy season, and all the angst / Gettleman bashing / Rivera bashing here for a few months made the Huddle a lot less fun for awhile.  Couldn't talk football with all the shouting & whining going on.

But, the combination of the Falcons blowing a 25 point lead and the approaching draft seem to have cheered people up nicely. Add to that the fact that I've finally got a bit more free time / energy again after a very draining 4 - 6 months, and I'm enjoying spending a bit more time around here lately.

This place used to be very interactive. Fun talks and debates. Legendary huddlers. They're all gone now.

Jeremy Igo, the Admin is hardly even on here anymore. And when he does post, kind of scratching my head.

This place is just a "business" for Igo now. Not a talk forum anymore.

The bad season took the wind out of the sails of Panther land, and the Huddle has always been ground zero, so it is not immune. We were floating along waves, hither and yonder, for a long minute, but you could feel a slight breeze rolling in as Rivera and Getty (at least with their mouths) deep-sixed the status quo. That, along with Falcon blood in the water, has given us new energy, and I suspect that free agency will signal the return of the lost en masse.

    • My tailoring green idea was not for him to be the starter but to add some value beyond just a developmental quarterback I think size speed is something Bryce doesn't have he has those and would immediately feel the fourth and one package and possibly red zone and some power packages for us
    • Do you have against Willis I believe you're around when we have the draft with corral and Willis were on the board and me personally I was banging the table for Willis as early as round one but a lot of people thought corral was better but it's amazing with a little coaching and time can do with me I always go with potential and upside versus oh the guy just plays football you know sometimes that's not enough
    • I know or needs and this probably isn't with a lot of people want but if he's available at 19 I don't think you can discount that he would be the best player on the board I think with 43 speed he's as fast as leggette. 63240 something he would stretch the field  Strike fear over the middle of opposing linebackers and also probably cure our long time history of no serviceable tight end since Greg Olsen I think a lot of needs like tackle maybe linebacker could be filled and free agency to the point like they did last year where we fix a lot of this and draft the best player we can on the board.  After his combine and the numbers in the 43-in vertical I'm not sure that he will be available but if he is I bet that he's highly considered what say you
