I'm still here, and I'm still great.  I don't see what the problem is.

I remember when I was new here in 2006, there were similar laments about "this place isn't what it used to be".

A perceptive person might say "but Jase, doesn't that mean the common thread in the decline of this place is you?"

I am here everyday hard to respond to some of these damn threads as half of them are..ohh a free agent should the Panthers get him on every damn FA.. Then I don't follow every damn college player.. so I wait til the Workouts and pre-draft to start post my mad thoughts on the Panthers..after a few Bud Lights of course as thats when the Brain kicks in :)

I'm usually pretty adamant about having my football Sundays time cleared, but due to needs arising at work and garnering a bit of football fatigue... I started working Sundays a month or two after Super Bowl 50.  Sort of needed to take a step back after that blue balls of a 2015 season.

Working 60-70 hour weeks combined with what ended up being one hell of a shitty offseason and season and missing a lot of poo of what was going on in the NFL... I just really didn't have the energy or motivation to go posting online.  Hell, due to work I missed several Panther games that ended up being shitshows that I had no intention of going back and seeing what I missed -- which would be the first games I've missed in a decade or more.

Still lurked the huddle a couple times a week tho.  Taking that break might've been for the best for my long term football health lol.  Feeling a bit rejuvenated coming into this season.  The fact that the Falcons blew a 25 point lead in the Super Bowl didn't hurt none.

Oh well, at least I did catch the 49ers game in person.  Which ended up being the highlight of the season I guess.

    • I do think the rating is fair given how this unit hasn’t proven it with production. I understand you have to rank off production, not potential. However, our unit is also in a position to make this rating look foolish a year from now. We have 4 guys in the WR/TE room who all could legitimately take the next step this year, and catapult our rank. A guy under a lot of people’s radar after we took Tet, Jalen Coker. Mark my words, he will become the star of this room, and be the heir to Thielen.
    • Exactly. You’d think 2-7 wins a year (in a 17 game season no less) since 2017 is going to keep us bottom tier. Every year we say the same poo like we haven’t been a bad team the past 7 years. Until we prove we aren’t a bottom dweller, that’s where we’ll stay ranked. God forbid we have OL injuries like 2016.
    • What I love and hate about this team is it’s more filled with potential breakout players than ever before. JT, XL, Coker, Smith-Wade, Ikem, Trevin… and even Bryce are all guys I could legitimately see taking the next step. But the problem with having so many of those guys is that team success somewhat relies on them taking that step, and some are bound not to. That being said, I’m cautiously optimistic given our softer schedule, the way the offense clicked late last year, and the direction we finally have at GM, coach, and QB. Could see us as a sneaky playoff team.
