How'd the TEs look yesterday? Any prospects you're impressed with?

You obviously weren't watching the last couple of years. His small list has included the last two or three draft picks.

This may not end well for you...

I had Amini, Star, KB, Shaq and Trai the last couple of years too.

Jeremy doesn't know anything more than you or I do. Jeremy is a photographer in the end zone. Nothing more.

My top 3-4 names will probably be a lot closer than Jeremy's.  I'm just saying.

Obviously you're new to the Huddle.

Engram has excellent speed and his film from 2015 is better than his film from last year.  His issue is that he can't block at all.  He is a receiver playing TE.  I'm not sure that he works in our system.

And I suspect the same. I believe that if Gettleman is going to draft a TE on day one or two, that player will show something of note in the blocking game. Engram is a little small also.

I was really impressed by a lot of TEs. Only Njoku surprised me a bit with a lot of drops during the drills. He definitely didn't blow the athletic doors off to be anywhere near Howard. I wish Leggett and Saubert (sp?) ran.

If you've watched Njoku play, it shouldn't have come as a surprise. Dude has bricks for hands.

It's why I'm not big on him for us. We already have enough guys with inconsistent hands. We need more reliable pass catchers. Olsen is really the only truly reliable pass catcher we have.

Blocking is truly about technique and want to. He has improved in the blocking area, and is not that bad of a blocker as some may state. He has several cut ups that prove this. Watch his game verse Texas A&M and you will see him win in blocking vs Garrett.

I was a bit surprsised that Njoku didn't do better relative to Howard in some of the test.

Njoku did better in the vertical and broad jump.  Howard did better in the 40yrd dash, 3 cone, and 20rd shuttle.  All while being taller, heaver and stronger in the bench.  Not sure about the 60 yrd shuttle yet.

Then you didn't watch the breakdown. Njoku dropped several passes but bad ball placement did not help at all.

Don't know what breakdown you're talking bout. Combine or what?

I'm just speaking off watching him play. Sure, bad ball placement can hurt...but watching him in game, he'd also drop easy passes thrown right into his chest. Ripped straight from his NFL draft profile page...

"... Inconsistent hands over two years at Miami. Focus drops were a problem. Had eight drops over last two seasons for drop rate over 11 percent "

The dude has insane potential...but he's an athletic freak still learning the position and how to catch a football.
