I remember when I was 22.  Thought I was a grown man, at my peak of potential, knew all I needed to know.  Boy was I wrong.

Devin has just started to grow.  I believe this year will be nothing like last year.

I'm so glad he pointed,  or I wouldn't know what the hell was talking about.

Umm, he wasn't even trying to celebrate what he did.  He was trying to join a team mate.  He did nothing wrong and was only wanting to be a good team mate.

How this can be construed as a negative towards him is beyond me.

I still like the kid, he's got a lot of growing to do.  He'll be fine.

It's 2017. Facts are for communists.

They have a damn clock in the end zone.  Put 30 or 40 seconds on the clock after a score  Teams can celebrate however they want as long as it isn't taunting.  Over 30  or 40 seconds.  Then throw a flag.

Baseball players flip a bat or fist pump on great strike out.  Which IMO is more taunting than celebrating. Basketball plays slam one home and stare down the dude he slammed on. Soccer players damn near undress when they score a goal.

NFL players should be able to celebrate a score.  The redskin fun bunch was hilarious.  Mark Gastineau sack dances were amazing and fun.  You play sports you are running on pure adrenaline sometimes. You should be able to show some excitement when you succeed.

I hate they have made this more of a business than a GAME.

Can't Wait till Funchess makes y'all eat crow. He puts it together this year along with the rest of the team.

The Panthers historical have played this game with WRs. Until somebody steps up, I'm sceptical. 2-3 years, I get it, but if there was a ever a time to blow the NFL up, 2017 is the year.

Well, to be fair, if a player takes their jersey off in soccer they get a yellow card, which is much worse than a little excessive celebration flag.

    • Damn I liked A'Shawn too. This is basically a heads up we're planning on cutting you move.  Robinson wasn't the best but I loved his attitude and effort on the field. He held that entire dline together when Brown went down iirc..granted we finished that season as the worst rushing defense in modern NFL history.  If Wharton would have performed up to atleast half of his salary last season, I'd feel a little better about it. We do need that cap space though.
    • 13. Carolina is coming. The Panthers are well thought of around the league. Their "process" seems sound. I think their off-season will be very interesting to keep an eye on. They made the playoffs, but they're not yet knocking on the door. (Offense was 26th in EPA/play.) I think it's imperative they don't overestimate where they are in their build. They can't throw a ton of money around in FA to "make a run now". They need to be intentional about building a solid foundation. (IMO) And from what I know about the team... I think they will be. Sidenote: I have my eye on offense there, not defense. They HAVE to leave next season with a strong opinion on Bryce Young. They need to put pieces around him to do that. Can't be left wondering what he would have looked like with "better OL play" or "more pass catchers". They have to know. (That part is purely my opinion. No one told me that.) https://x.com/lindsay_rhodes/status/2027212533417869499?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
    • Because this DL is completely reliant on Brown being available and being a stud. Without him we were the worst D in history. The Wharton signing last year reeked of desperation. He just isn't a great fit for us schematically and I think we panicked a little bit when we missed out on Milton Williams who would have been a great fit.
