How is our supposed young de going to get much playing time ...  Let's say we draft S.Thomas, who starts ? I'm guessing Addison and Johnson with Peppers and Horton coming off the bench .  Where does Thomas fit in?

Thomas would start.

While we all have our favorite (sometimes changing depending on mood), we'd have to be trying really hard to screw up the #8 pick. It's kind of like pizza and sex, even if its not great, it's still pretty good. I'm much more intrigued with our second pick.

I love Fournette too. However I always thought Stewart would become expendable if we drafted Fournette. The extension before the draft by Gettleman tells me I was wrong there.

I don't think Stew was ever expendable (his salary was). However, as soon as Stew signed the extension, CAP started packing his bags. If we draft Fournette, or another bruiser of a RB, he becomes the odd man out.

Same thing for Fozzy if we land McCaffery with the 2nd pick.

it's down to Fournette or Howard for me.

These are my top two, but truth be told, i almost think we cant go wrong at #8 this year. no matter who it is, it will be a stud that will contribute for years to come.

I guess if i were to give a comprehensive list:

  1. Howard
  2. Fournette
  3. Davis
  4. Adams/Peppers
  5. Thomas/Allen
  6. Lattimore

Then again, if we trade down for someone like McCaffrey or Ross, i wouldnt complain.

I just really want us to go offense-heavy in this draft. weapons and protection. throw in a DE and a SS and ill be happy

    • Over previous years? Sure is 😆
    • An odd little vibe I've noticed here of late: some folks are "all or nothing" to an absolutely extreme level when it comes to Bryce. Here's a bit of truth telling though: There are, in fact, things Bryce does well. Likewise, there are areas in which he's improved over his time here. He has, on several occasions now, legitimately helped us win games. On the flipside, there have been failures in other areas as well as coaching that we're not in any way his fault.  And finally , it is also genuinely possible that the team may see him as the future, even if we don't. The craziest part, though? It's actually possible that they're right and we're wrong. All of this is true, and more, yet if you accept any of these premises people go from zero to apesh-t in under three seconds 😳 Anything less than total disavowal of Bryce and / or agreement that he's the worst QB of all time and suddenly you're a "stan". Oy 🙄 The reality though?  Bryce is indeed an NFL quarterback. Not a great one, probably backup level good, and I've seen way worse. Now, if you run that statement through your personal Google translator and it comes back with some version of "I want to throw 50 million a year at Bryce for the next 10 years", that's not really my issue it's yours  I don't wanna make him the franchise quarterback, but it's not my call. Win or lose, the team is going to do what they think is best. And as always, if it disagrees with what I think we should do, I'm gonna hope I'm the one who's wrong. Internet clout means nothing. Watching my favorite team win at my favorite sport meas fun 😁
