Welcome Back D'onta Foreman

The only one I can think of is Tiki Barber. He changed the way he held the ball and drastically improved his fumbling problem.
But I agree it is very hard to fix this issue. I still get chills thinking of how Foster used to run with the ball way out away from his body. Fumble waiting to happen.

Oh man Foster was the worst. He was like Peterson without the production. Stewart fumbles a lot too but because he fights for the extra yards and gets held up

Shows how much research people do on here

"he fumble's to much"

he actually graded out Better than Cook And Mixon.  Both guys who many on here really like.  Cook was praised as the top RB by many on here and a want at #8, meanwhile not a peep was brought up about his fumbling.  Mixon most agreed that is one of the top 3 RB talent wise in this class and had some saying the talent was to good to pass him because the off field issues.

"He's a bad blocker"

not sure what other players people have been watching.  But Foreman graded out as one if not the Top blocker of all RBs.

Would love to draft the kid.  Only thing that scares me is his injury at the combine, Even though he came back and ran at the pro day

Thank you! because they aren't the big names folks want to throw players under the bus.  All of the negativity folk throwing at him can be coached.  Traits and positives he has can't be coached.

He's big and fast and find/run through a hole.  For a later pick it's a no brainer.  Not the shiftiness but on film and watch Cook a Lot,  they have the same wiggle and shiftyness.  Just Foreman is 25 lbs heavier.

He could of ran a 4.3 flat for all I care, his tape shows he isn't a big play threat.

What you will notice from these statistics is:

10+ yard runs 49

20+ runs 16

3rd in long (over 5 yards to go) over 5.00 yards a carry. 3 and 10 he averaged 9.00 yards a carry.

Inside the redzone 4.08 yards a carry and 8 Touchdowns. Meaning almost half of his touchdowns came from runs outside of the redzone..  Yall can take a look at the rest.

but I would say the dude is pretty much a big run threat.

just saying.. numbers don't lie.

I watched Foreman a lot at Texas last season. At first glance Foreman is a beast. He's deceptively fast for as big as he is, breaks a ton of tackles, and by all accounts is a good guy with his head on straight. On physical ability alone he's at the top of the list. Where he lacks is he doesn't seem to have pass blocked a lot, and he has had some issues with fumbling.

I have a few issues with him though. The Longhorns ran him into the ground last season. Texas's offense last year was run Foreman (323 carries!) and throw bombs. Panthers already have a RB with a history of foot injuries and we know they can linger. He's just not as pro-ready as some of the other RBs in the draft. He'll need to learn to be a solid pass blocker and also correct his knack for fumbling especially in key moments of games.

He might be worth 4th or 5th round pick in my opinion, but he could end up being a steal. I think he ends up on the Ravens.

Toby Gerhart had big runs in college, that didn't make him a big play threat in the NFL.

To play a little Devil's advocate (I mostly agree with you) -- if a fast 40 (4.4) doesn't make someone a homerun threat, and a lot of long runs in college doesn't make someone a homerun threat -- what in the world does?
